Prime location, pleasant stay

The hotel is in a prime location for sightseeing and hiking around Keswick. The room was impeccably clean and of a traditionally old fashioned guesthouse. A very comfortable nights sleep. The only criticism was at breakfast. Upon being asked how we would like our breakfast, the male owner/member of staff seemed unimpressed by my choice of a vegetarian breakfast and he failed to pass on the information of "no beans" to the cook in the kitchen. Upon receiving the breakfast which was incorrect and less than impressive, the male owner/member of staff proceeded to have an argument with the cook in the kitchen, which provided an awkward atmosphere with 5 full tables eating breakfast in silence.
Overall I would say that the stay was good, but with so many options in the surrounding area I would not choose this guesthouse
