Honestly pricedPosted Sep 7, 2015
Pros: location and price
Cons: The decor
Location: 3 minutes walk into the town centre. Close to Museums, bars shops and the Lake. And of course an excellent starting point for many walks .
Honestly priced Bed and Breakfast close to the centre of Keswick. I stayed in room 6 on the top floor which was very quiet despite facing the road. This room had a toilet but no bath. I used the shared bath/shower on the first floor which was excellent, clean and modern. True, the general decor of this property is a bit dated but in my opinion it still represents good value for money. The breakfast was excellent; a selection of cereals, yogurts and fruits as well as a choice of a proper cooked breakfast. Even the coffee was good which is rare in many hotels. I didn't have any problems finding a parking space but I can imagine that during peak season might be a different story.

First time in the Lake District. Keswick was an excellent choice. Plenty to see and do. b&b was clean, friendly service and an excellent choice for breakfast.

Short Break in KeswickPosted Aug 15, 2015 on Hotels
Nice place in good location. Newly refurbished Victorian house meant that you could hardly turn round in the shower/toilet. Screaming owners' toddler wasn't a perfect addition to the tranquility of the area. Otherwise fully recommended.

Very friendly reception. Most helpful hosts. Single room small, but clean and comfortable with everything I needed. Breakfast was lovely. The address was an easy walk to town and the lake, but lovely and quiet at night.

Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Room 6 was extremely small but I appreciated the on-suite toilet. Had I realised before that the bath/shower was down two flights of stairs I may not have stayed, but overall I enjoyed my time at Hunters Way.
