Town-centre mini-cottage

Posted Aug 2, 2016
Pros: Position
Cons: Sound proofing
Location: Convenient centre from which to tour beautiful local countryside
"Cottage #2 appeared to be part of an old coach-house / stables that had been tastefully converted into letting rooms. Small lounge, with shower room & wc in one corner, and a nice bedroom upstairs. Easy access & parking opposite, an enjoyable stay was marred not so much by noise from the pub beer garden opposite, which was to be expected, but from noisy, inconsiderate fellow guests staying in the adjoining cottage the first night who appeared to be partying till about 1.30am. A nice place to stay as long as you are not worried about getting an early night.

Great hotel in the middle of the town.

Posted Aug 12, 2015
Pros: The location and the privacy of the room.
Cons: Nothing
The excellent location really makes the place. It is centrally located and eveything in town is really easy to get to. Highly recommended.

Good location - basic accommodation - free parking

Posted Jan 13, 2014
Pros: Free parking. Good location. Reasonably priced.
Cons: The shower room. The TVs could be bigger. A breakfast option included?
Location: Great location - lots of great shops, cafés and eateries.
The Kings Arms accommodation is in several cottages behind the pub. It's comparatively priced to other b&bs but there's no breakfast provided - check out isn't until 11am though, so if you fancy a lounge about in the morning this could be ideal. We had cottage 1, and it was pretty basic. Small lounge downstairs with a small sofa and small tv, and a big bedroom upstairs with a small tv and bathroom adjoining with a shower cubicle. The bed was comfy and we had a good nights' sleep. There's free parking for people staying in the cottages and that's brilliant for Kirkby Lonsdale as parking can be difficult.

Perfect Kirkby Lonsdale stay

Posted Apr 30, 2013
We stayed at the kings arm the weekend of my friends wedding. Superb location very central. The car park at the kings was a blessing in itself as managing to park without four hourly top ups was something the other guests struggled with all weekend. Lovely accommodation, clean, the perfect little get away. Our hosts at the kings were lovely, very welcoming, helpfull and pampered to all our whims!! Ha ha. Would highly recommend to anyone, and will definately be returning.

Family overnight stay

Posted Feb 22, 2013
Pros: Warm and cozy accomodation and friendly owners
Cons: Parking on first come first served basis could be tricky at busy times
Location: Central to town and good access to other locations in Pennines / Lakes
Self contained room with double bed and sofa bed for the children. Warm and comfortable, very friendly owners and breakfast was very good.
