LakesidePosted Mar 16, 2015 on Hotels
Very well placed hotel, easy access to main street. Warm welcome, comfortable beds and good breakfast. Parking is a little tricky but a place can be found later at night outside the hotel. Recommended.

Great location and excellent servicePosted Jan 27, 2015
Really enjoyed the breakfast and a great start to the day. So many great walks to choose from and all well explained with handy guides. Lovely view from the hotel and a number of good restaurants close by for an evening meal.

Best hotel in the lakesPosted Jan 17, 2015 on Hotels
I work all around the country and I have finally found my regular hotel in the lakes. The staff are the friendliest in any hotel I have ever stayed in and it is based in the middle of Keswick meaning everywhere is accessible.

Walking Holiday from the centre of KeswickPosted Jan 6, 2015
Pros: The staff were friendly helpfull and courteous. The location was ideal for a walking holiday, but also central if you don't want to leave the town.
Location: The location is ideal. It is close to the launches on Derwent Water, the Theatre, a small cinema if the weather is wet and the shops.
Ideally placed hotel in the centre of Keswick. Parked the car on day of arrival and was able to choose a number of walking routes in the surrounding countryside from the hotel. There's plenty of good places to eat and drink in the town, and a number of interesting shops that differ from a typical high street.

What a fantastic place to stay atPosted Dec 1, 2014
Cons: Maybe a wider breakfast slot for some.
Location: The restaurant across the road - one of the best. Keswick town centre is a short walk (5 mins).. The lake is a 10 mins stroll. Walkers paradise.
Was upgraded from the standard room. It was well decorated and the bed very comfortable. Apparently guests buy the mattresses! The furniture is not your standard but bespoke and adds that little comfort feeling. Breakfast was very good, perhaps the 1 hour window from 0815 would be a little tight for some. Very friendly proprietor and staff. Quiet location. The nearby restaurant (cross the road) is one of the best I have been to. Everything was almost new and redecoration is regular. Opens through this 2014 winter - well recommended. If you use the TomTom then put the address in No.40 to ensure you reach the correct destination, as the streed is split.
