Pros: Location, Gym
Cons: Poor wifi signal, limited menu options
Location: Excellent location and peacful settings, close to lake district and usual tourist sites
I have stayed in several rooms and found poor wifi internet signal in most rooms. Need more variety in menus in both restaurants

relaxingPosted May 20, 2013
Cons: price of food - room service
Location: just down from lake windermere, idea if you want to be just outside of the main area
the hotel is ran well and the location is ideal. the spa is a good place for getting some r&r. if your going to the lakes, your either 5 minutes from the the steam train, or 10 minutes by car. the family room, is nice and spacious and comfortable. the views are limited, if you in the wrong side but still its a good place if you want to come and relax

Great hotel for familiesPosted Aug 21, 2012
We have visited this hotel many times as the leisure facilities are excellent for families. The atmosphere is extremely pleasurable throughout and the staff are always polite and very helpful. Although this has not put me off going back again, I was disappointed with the wait for both dinner and breakfast. The room we had was also too hot overnight and unfortunately did not have windows that would open out wide. Overall I still love and would recommend this hotel.

Great stay and excellent food!Posted Aug 5, 2012
Pros: Food glorious food
Cons: Slightly isolated
Location: Lovely surroundings
Overall a very pleasant stay. We were on a tour of Lancashire/ Edinburgh and finishing at the Whitewater hotel spending a few nights at each destination. We had a family bedroom which was very spacious and nicely furnished for a traditional lake hotel. Our beds were a little less comfortable compared to those we had slept on at the other destinations, but not so it stopped us from getting a good nights sleep. The bathroom was very spacious and very clean. The spa facilities excellent although the ladies changing room was a little on the small size and showers could have been better. We decided to take the dinner bed and breakfast option and I have to say the food served in restaraunt was exceptional. Breakfast was also very pleasant. The staff were excellent offering good information and service. Although the hotel was slightly out of the way from where we had originally planned to stay, I would definitely return for guaranteed good service and excellent food.
