Beautiful location and beach, terrible service.

Location is one of the best on the island. Hotel service is the worst! Had MANY issues with room, desk staff, restaurant staff and housekeeping. Upon check in the FD agent put us exactly in the room we communicated to her we were trying to avoid. Not allowed to switch rooms til two days later. All rooms reek like mildew and upon further inspection, the vents were completely black covered in black mold. Obviously have never been cleaned, pumping in toxic air. We felt sick the entire stay inhaling mold. In the USA this hotel would have been shut down immediately due to health hazards.
Housekeeping very unaccomodating in every respect. Sometimes downright rude.
Similar experiences in all outlets with service level. Someone spilled a cup of coffee next to our table during a very busy brunch. This was attended to and cleaned up until 30 min later. Meanwhile we had to get up and step over each time to get to the buffet. Heard similar service complaints from many other guest.
It seems the first answer is no, followed by an immediate rebuttal and counter argument from the staff. Very exhausting and not what we expected from a Hilton. The Curacao Hilton does NOT live up to the name and service and we are HH members and have stayed at many other worldwide properties.
It's a shame, this hotel has so much potential, particular with that location. However, ALL service level and room health issues need to be addressed first, including ripping out the mildew carpet and cleaning each vent.
