Excellent hotel close to the central plaza

All the main restaurants and attractions are within walking distance from this hotel. The customer service is beyond exceptional!

Low season, historical beauty

Standard double reservation (Expedia) Upgraded to a 3-room suite aligned like a railroad flat. Staff excellent, despite constant suggestions for extras. Restaurant overpriced. Loud fireworks start st 4 am on Saints days. Beautiful historic monastery.

One of the best hotel experiences ever!

Pros: Everything: the service, the setting, the facilities, the food, the elegance, the comfort...
Cons: Can't think of anything.
Location: Excellent location. A lot to do around in terms of culture, shopping, dining and enjoying the city.
We were thoroughly impressed with the superb quality of service, facilities and food offered by Belmont Hotel Monasterio. It was without a doubt, one of the best hotel stays we have had and we are seasoned travelers. The registration process was flawless, comfortable and they made everything easy and pleasant for use. Our luggage did not arrive with us but the hotel staff followed up with the airlines so our luggage was in our room when we returned from dinner. Every seem to go the extra mile to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Next time, we will surely stay at the Monasterio when in Cusco and will recommend it to our friends. Great job!!!

A most lovely experience!

Cons: A room near the royal suite was being renovated. Towards the end of our stay, the smell of the paint became a bit intolerable.
Monasterio was our backup choice and we had been slightly disappointed that our first choice (the one next door) was fully booked. But Monasterio turned out to be such a beautiful, elegantly adorned place. We were greeted with a huge surprise of room upgrade from junior suite to the royal suite. The room was impeccable, but the staff was most definitely the best part of Hotel Monasterio. The service was everything you would expect of a top-notch hotel, but in addition to the professional range, Monasterio offers a personal touch and cares about its guests. I came back from a day trip to Machu Picchu with a terrible headache due to altitude sickness. The staff who came to turn down our bed hurried to bring me coca tea, checked the oxygen and helped ordering some broth to relieve my symptom. Had I not been that sick, I would love to thank them more properly. Of course, they were also extremely knowledge and helpful about getting around and shopping in Cusco. It only take a trainee concierge gentleman one minute to detail a map about how to find Maca powder in the local market--and it was so impressively accurate! Before we remembered to ask, we had spent hours wandering the city for the product to no avail.

Gorgeous respite in central Cusco.

The hotel is gorgeous and well maintained. A quiet respite in the busy center of Cusco. We stayed here to relax after visiting Machu Picchu. The lounge bar was fun at night with live music, The cathedral is beautiful.

Outstanding service in gorgeous hotel

My dad had special needs and staff went way beyond what I ever expected to ensure his bucket list trip to peru would be spectacular ;even coordinating a complicated transport to a competing hotel that we had booked prior at end end of our trip. I would stay here again without hesitation. They earned all 5 of their stars and then some!

One of the best placese to stay in Cusco

Pros: I received excellent care when I contracted bronchitis. The front desk brought out the oxygen tank many times and then called a doctor to my room.
Cons: Nothing
Location: In historical district close to everything
I rea,lyrics enjoyed my stay at the Belmond Hotel Monastaurio. Such a beautiful place.

We had booked an upgrade with two queens. We arrived late and were taken to a single king bed room, which would not work for us as we are two friends. I explained and they promptly moved us. However, the room looked pretty standard.
