A perfect boutique hotel in the center of CuscoPosted Nov 30, 2015
Pros: The staff are all truly friendly and helpful. It's as though they're personally responsible you get the most out of your stay and proud to do so.
Cons: If your especially sensitive to street noise, ask for a sheltered room (it'll help). It's an historic building, so no lift (but staff will help you)!
Location: Cusco is an amazingly lively and vibrant city to visit. There's lots to do and see ... day and into the night. With the main square a block away.
I was so pleased to arrive at this delightful property, which is right in the middle of downtown Cusco. The front desk staff were really friendly and helpful. They explained everything I needed and my room was spotlessly clean and charming. This hotel is a block away from the main square (ideal for sightseeing and services) and close to the amazing nightlife Cusco has to offer (without being exactly in the middle of it). This delivered everything I needed, with all the personality of a unique property full of local flavor.

Fantastic Views of the MountainsPosted Oct 19, 2015
Cons: earlier breakfast
We had to leave at 5am to get to MP. Breakfast at the hotel doesn't start until 5:30am so we were provided on request with a brown bag including a sandwich, some fruit and water...while this was much appreciated other hotels have a breakfast service from 4:45am.

If you can sleep through the noise, it's okayPosted Oct 10, 2015
Pros: The location is pretty good. San Blas is a nice neighbourhood.
Cons: Better soundproofing. More comfortable furniture in the courtyard.
We were a bit disappointed by this hotel after seeing the nice photos of the inner courtyard and hearing it recommended by a friend. The courtyard is fairly nice, as shown in the photos, and our room was reasonably okay, but we were given stained towels which we were only replaced on the third day after we requested new ones, the bathroom was a bit dingy, and the noise was almost unbearable. There is no soundproofing in the rooms, so when people get up for their 4am/5am departures, you will hear it loud and clear. You also hear the blender mixing fruit juices from 6am onwards as though it was taking place in your room. I liked the San Blas neighbourhood but I found a better hotel for only a little bit more upon returning from our Machu Picchu trek.

RecomendoPosted Sep 25, 2015
Pros: Atendimento, quarto
Recomendo!

Nice hotel, very friendly staff, noisy!Posted Sep 14, 2015
Very nice and clean hotel in the heart of Cusco and 2 min walk from main Plaza. Staff were super friendly and helpful ! In fact all Tierra Viva hotels are high standard . But I would t recommend this one because rod the noise outside! Unless you are not bothered about all night music dicso clubs just outside your windows with loud music and loud singing. It started around 7 pm and I kid you not was still going strong and loud when we got up at 6 for our next trip! Praise the earplugs! Otherwise instead of drifting in and out of sleep we would have had 0 sleep! Our room was facing the street so maybe it's worth asking for different room.. Oh 4 floors and no lift. If you are staying there first time you will be out of breath!

Great stay! Amazing staff, very helpful!Posted Aug 31, 2015
Pros: Staff, rooms, location
Location: Near Plaza de Armes - central to everything: tours, restaurants, stores.
Overall, this is a great hotel. The staff are super helpful and service is impeccable. The breakfast was also good for Peru standards (they had hot food - eggs, sausage, bacon etc) as well as good croissants, cakes, fruits. The location is great - minutes walk to Plaza de Armes, restaurants, bars etc. They stored our luggage while we went on our 4 day Lares Trek and supplied oxygen tanks when I was dealing with altitude sickness. There is also complimentary tea and coffee in the reception. There is a business center for guests to use free of cost which was really helpful to us when we had to make other bookings. It isn't a cheap hotel but the price tag matches the quality of the room and staff who work there. They offer free pick up from the airport in Cuzco which was also helpful and organized a taxi for us to the airport on the way back.
