Too expensive for what you get

Posted Apr 23, 2017
Used to be a nice hotel in the 80s, but has not been renovated since... not very clean. Far too expensive for what you get. Not coming back, there are better options in the area.

Nice view of the ocean

Posted Jan 30, 2017
Pros: I liked the view of the ocean, as well as the view of Goree Island.
Cons: The gym could use some improvement. Most of the equipment is rusty and needs to be updated. The gym also does not have a treadmill.
Location: There is a market and a cafe/coffee shop within walking distance.
The hotel staff is very professional and attempted to make my stay a pleasant one. The hotel rooms and facilities were clean. As another reviewer wrote, the hotel is not as new and modern as what is depicted in the photos.

Musty hotel , nice location

Posted Mar 19, 2015
Pros: Staff is lovely and the food delicious. Views are spectacular.
Cons: Bathroom need to be completely renovated as they are borderline unusable. The gym needs to be leveled and rebuilt, or don't advertise they have one.
Location: Lovely walks along the coastline and minutes from downtown and city center.
Bathroom almost non existent. False advertising gym facilities The health club dirty, permanently without power, antique equipment. Very smokey bar / lounge area. Room layout totally funky Staff very friendly and helpful.

Needs some updating

Posted Oct 30, 2014 on Hotels
Nice location overlooking sea but nothing really in walking distance. Hotel has own restaurant but not well used. Breakfast continental but lacked freshness. Same ownership for restaurant next door. There is no direct connection so you have to walk 250m on roadway. Overall not bad. Lacking in atmosphere. Bit expensive for whats on offer. WiFi worked well.

Very nice Hotel and such a different experience. Almost like being aboard a cruise ship.

Lapping Atlantic off your balcony

Moldy rooms from too long next to the water, and the restaurant is nothing to write home about, but this is a Dakar classic.

The hotel staff was courteous and helpful. the location and view from room is excellent. the Quality of service and hotel ameneties in the room need improvement, like providing complimentary Tea/Coffee and electronic kettle in the room, additional/extra towels/hand towels, more chanels on TV either pay-per-view and the complimentary internet in the room goes off @ 10pm. Otherwise, the Hotel is pricey for the $$ per night currently. Overall, Ok.
