Dear jonathan, We thank you very much for choosing our hotel for your stay in Dakar. When the staff entered they found in the room lot of boxes and a suitcase opened as well as some of the boxes, they found it suspicious, due to the content and called security who made a report of all the content. What is normal hotel procedure for the safety of the hotel and our guests and staff. With best regards, Jorgen

Nice hotel on the Western tip of Africa

Posted Aug 7, 2016
Pros: Gym, clean room, pool bar, location and the evening sunsets.
Cons: Mosquitoes somehow found their way into the room. Although a pesticide spray was provided, not sure if it cured the problem.
Location: Hotel is on the Atlantic Ocean. Right next to the hotel is the Espresso shopping mall that has a supermarket, various shops and a leisure centre.
Excellent location with a good level of security, clean and comfortable rooms. The hotel has good amenities including a decent size gym and an outdoor pool overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Staff were friendly and attentive to my needs. As this was a business trip, I found it very relaxing to chill out near the pool bar in the evenings.

I only wish I booked this hotel sooner

Posted Jan 6, 2016
Pros: Everything
Cons: Just keep up the great work.
Location: I didn't have enough time to explore the area as much as I liked but the mall was nice, the spa was relaxing, and the concierge is very helpful.
The Radisson Blue saved my life. During a 2 week "vacation" in Senegal with a well renowned dance company I was about to lose my mind with the folks that I was renting space with because the host was trying to lead me to believe that Senegal was such a poor & under-developed 3rd world country. It wasn't until the day before the last day of my stay that I was able to acquire internet access, found this hotel through Expedia at a reasonable price, and booked it immediately. This hotel is very well guarded. All vehicles must pass a security checkpoint prior to entry onto the Radisson premises. Once inside of the hotel, the floor to ceiling windows gave way to a spectacular view of the ocean and beaches. The hotel staff was very courteous and helpful. There's a mall and an awesome spa directly connected to the hotel. The hotel features and amenities were very modern, the rooms are spacious, the bed was comfortable, everything was clean, the pool-bar drinks were great, dinner and breakfast was super delicious and reasonably priced. I loved the layout of the infinity pool overlooking the ocean. The Wi-Fi was free and the complimentary shuttle bus to the airport was comfortable. If I ever decide to visit Senegal again I'd totally stay at the Radisson Blue and highly recommend this hotel to others considering a visit to Senegal. You won't regret it.

Pros: I liked the food, the availability of the staff to respond to your every need, and also the cleanliness of the room.
Location: The location is the best part of the trip, I mean being able to wake up to breath taking views every morning is definitely a plus.
I enjoyed my stay at the Radisson, the location of the hotel is perfect and I really enjoyed having breakfast and lunch by the an infinity pool that looks over the atlantic ocean.

Fabulous Hotel stay....at Radisson Blu Dakar

Posted Jan 3, 2015
Pros: Nice and clean and modern furnishings. Great view of beach and sea.
Cons: Swimming pool conditions were atrocious. Anyone taking a swim could die of pneumonia.
Location: Great Location.
Location great. Ideal for romance and business. Everything good except breakfast not included in deluxe room tariffs. Why is this an exception for Deluxe rooms? Also during Winter months of December guests cannot swim as water is too cold. The water in the swimming pool should be temperature regulated as guests would love to swim. This is a thumbs down for the Hotel which has otherwise good facilties.

Dear Guest, We thank you for sharing your feedback on your recent stay with us. We are surprised to read that you were in a Deluxe room and have been charged breakfast. Only Standard room rate doesn’t include breakfast, all the other room rates include breakfast expected when you have been upgraded from a standard. Also some corporate and partners rates exclude breakfast from their negotiated rates. We look very much forward to welcome you back soon. With best regards, Jorgen

5*, but not in all respects

Posted Nov 21, 2014
Pros: Clean Comfortable well equipped rooms
Cons: Check in process lengthy Concierge staff invisible at check-in Would expect a bath for price of the room
Location: Adjoins the Sea Plaza shopping mall (with cinema, bowling alley, and restaurants), reached directly on foot from the 1st floor of the hotel.
New, clean and well equipped rooms, very comfortable. Let down by a protracted check in process, and lack of concierge staff at the front door to help unload the baggage.

Dear Paul, Thank you very much for choosing to stay with us and for recommending the Radisson Blu Hotel, Dakar on Expedia. We are very sorry to hear that you didn’t found a bellman to help you with the luggage. When he is busy helping a guest, another staff member from the Reception should be available to help guests. Thank you for taking this matter to our attention, we will make sure to avoid such incommodes. We are looking forward to welcome you very soon. With best regards, Jorgen

Good staff.

Pros: The pool
Location: Excellent location in the Corniche
Staff was very helpful, and all spoke fair English which is rare in Dakar. The reception staff was excellent. I had two different reservations, and the reception staff made sure that I stayed in the same room and made the transition hassle-free for me.

Good Hotel

Posted May 15, 2012
I was thoroughly impressed with the Hotel. It's always easy to find something to grumble about, in this case the room allocated was not what was booked, but other than that the service was good, all staff spoke good English. The restaurants were excellent - the fine dining experience with fresh fish from the display, to the thin crust Pizza's at the bar. Great location too.
