We absolutely love this hotel

This was a surprise trip for my wife. We absolutely love the hotel and the gym is spectacular I would recommend this hotel to my friends. The hotel staff was wonderful the food was spectacular the gym was over-the-top we couldn’t of asked for more thank you very much. Dr. MJO

Great hotel close to the airport, but...

Pros: The rooms are clean, decor pleasing, the doorman great. The restaurant staff is lovely, albeit the food mediocre. Thank you for allowing pets.
Cons: The shuttle service contact should be made available through airport contact phones like other hotels in the area....
Location: Having stayed in other hotels near the airport, the driving time is less than most, making it a very convenient overnight stay while travelling.
Second time back to the Westin at Dallas Airport. My first experience was fantastic, but this one suffered somewhat. Being international, my phone does not roam in the US. It is always difficult to find someone in the airport that is ok with making the call to the hotel for you in order to request pick up by the shuttle. This time I went to the designated spot with all my gear. The van was there, but the driver was slumped in his seat in the dark so I did not see him. I waited for a few minutes before he climbed out of his seat and, in a very hospitable manner, wanted my bags put in the back. I left them to him, but could not get on the van, as he had parked 6 inches away from a metal railing. When I asked him to move forward, he spoke loudly at me and told me not to yell at him! No lights on in the van meant everyone stumbled in at the various locations. He should not be employed there! Check in was quick and easy until... traveling with two dogs has its challenges. Getting onto the elevator, a maid placed her hand over the door to help me enter. Put my carry on with all my documents etc onto the elevator with the dogs, turned my back for 1 second to grab my suitcase - and voila - she sent the elevator off without me. After 35 minutes searching for the dogs and my bag, the evening supervisor actually came up with a negative attitude and told me how could I expect housekeeping staff etc to speak English. No apologies. Bad attitude. Terrible Demeanour.

Early morning flight out of DFW --- great option!

Pros: Proximity to DFW; very modern; spacious and clean rooms; airport shuttle.
Cons: Nothing that I can think of right now.
Location: It's right next to DFW. There are some pretty good nearby dining options off of Highway 114 if you do not wish to dine at the hotel.
I had a 6:00 a.m. flight out of DFW so I opted to stay at the Westin as it is so close to the airport and considerably cheaper than the Grand Hyatt which is the only hotel actually attached to a terminal at DFW. This is a great place to stay! Very modern and open hotel with spacious and well appointed rooms! I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the Westin's airport shuttle begins to operate at 4:00 a.m. and is no complimentary! This will be my "go to" option any time I have either an early DFW flight or land at DFW very late!

Very nice!

Hotel, rooms, bathrooms, beds and floors are all very clean. I will definitely stay here again. Cody at the front desk was very helpful and nice. Front of the hotel (where we chose to park for extended parking), is well lit and shuttle to airport makes for an easy and relaxing stay.

Great stay

Nice front desk staff, very clean room, loved the roof pool, unfortunately it was winter when we stayed, so couldn't get in it.

not a clean as it could be for an expensive hotel

Cons: better cleaning and maintenance...desk counter stained, toilet seat didn't sit right and made a loud noise when sitting on it.
expensive hotel, but needs updating, at least in the room I had overlooking the roof and air conditioners ;/

Nothing was free. No breakfast without paying $20

Cons: Communication when you book our room through Expedia in a bundle deal
Location: It was great.
Breakfast was a joke. Went down to eat thinking it was part of our stay and received a huge bill. When I questioned it was told I did not choose that option for breakfast. Did not even see that option

Airport Westin in Dallas

Pros: Everything. Location. Staff. Facilities.
Cons: There needs to be some type of "exhaust system" for the bathrooms. As mentioned earlier, when you completed your business, it lingered for a while.
Location: A few miles from the hotel was every type of eatery you could possibly want. There was also a large shopping mall.
The hotel was a very nice hotel and the staff was more than courteous, helpful and friendly. Although the "office" type chair i my room was non-functional when I arrived, it was replaced with a working version within 8-10 minutes. My biggest gripe about a luxurious resort was the lack of an exhaust fan for the bathroom. So, once your business was complete, it lingered in the air for the next 30 minutes or so.
