Go elsewhere

Very poor room lighting. Room dimly lit, no wifi, no pool, $28 per day parking, no ice machine on floor, pay for everything, no hot water last two days. Open curtains in back of building to boarded up dark brick building. Had other family members experience same things in their rooms as well.

Staycation

The Adolphus is a fabulous piece of history and preserved architecture on Commerce Ave. in Dallas. It exudes elegance, class and you can feel the historical connection when you pull up at the entrance. The hotel is undergoing renovation from to to bottom, so expect the usual hyperactivity associated with such. The hotel management has done an excellent job of minimizing any inconvenience as a result of the re do.

Great stay in downtown Dallas

Posted Aug 20, 2015
We chose to stay at the Adolphus for my partner's birthday this year. Overall, it was a great choice. The staff was very helpful and outgoing. The room definitely was showing wear, but the hotel is starting to go through renovations. It was nothing that really made our stay uncomfortable. I am looking forward to returning once they have completed. Being that it was during the week the businesses and restaurants in the area close between 9pm-10pm, this includes the dining options at the hotel and even the McDonald's down the street. So if you're looking to grab a late evening/night snack, bring your own. I would definitely recommend staying here as long as you know you will be seeing it during a transition.

Hotel was grand, but a bit tired...

Was nice but the rooms were a bit tired and the bathroom was not what I expected from a grand hotel...
