Trip to the American Airlines Center

Posted Nov 17, 2015
Pros: It was about a mile from the American Airline Center which was the best part for us.
Cons: prices
Enjoyable time, hotel was good but didn't really seem like any kind of bargain. It was about a mile from the American Airline Center which was the best part for us.

1 night business stay close to I-35 and business e

Posted Nov 14, 2015
Pros: Not one thing
Cons: security of room.
Location: The Hilton next door
The desk clerk was the only 1 person who knew of my absense from my room between 9:15pm and 11:30 PM as I had called this person asking for directions to a restaraunt within walking distance. He watched me walk by the office on my way to a late dinner. I retirned without turning any lights on and got into bed and went to sleep. Woke up the next morning to find my very expensive Surface pro tablet and my business portfolio missing. Someone had let themselves into room as there was no evidence of a breakin. Complained to management as soon as I search the room thoroughly. Management said there are pass keys and no one inquired about a new card key. I asked about maid entrances ?. They said the maids don't clean rooms until after 11 am checkout time and must leave pass cards at office when not on duty. Filed a police report with Dallas PD to see if this type of event has happened prior. We'll see. I travel a lot, first time this happened and only time I have ever called front desk asking directions and when I would be out of room.

A polished turd

Posted Nov 10, 2015
Very small room, stains on blanket & chair/ottoman. Tub faucet head was bent. Rugs looked dingy. Bathroom door looked like it had been through a war. Heating & AC needed to be fixed. Hotel staff had no means of contacting GM/owner, so had to hunt him down on property to get heat turned on.

Comfortable and friendly

Posted Nov 6, 2015
Pros: Spacious and clean room.
Cons: Management appears to be investing in maintenance work at the moment.
Location: Market Center Boulevard has many large premium hotels. Nearby is the World Trade Center. Across the road is Rodeo Goat, a very popular bar/restaurant.
Dallas was the final city on my travels across the USA. By this stage I was becoming weary and the Best Western was a great place to stay. It has all the amenities a tourist or business person needs - good wifi, laundry, gym, pool, complimentary breakfast.

Easy into downtown/uptown and night life.

Not a bad stay- would stay here again. Hotel could use some updating/refreshing but for the value priced well. The staff was amazing from a late check in due to flight delays to check out making sure wake up calls were accurate.

Our stay was...special

Posted Oct 26, 2015
Pros: We had a cargo van and, when I asked at check-in, were invited to park in a large, easily accessible space next to the dumpster.
Cons: Provide instructions for the industrial microwave. Ensure that standards of cleanliness are adhered to between guests. Keep ice machine full.
Location: Easy commute to and from downtown.
1. It was freezing when we walked into our room. We turned the heat on high, but it still blew cold air. We asked the front desk to have it checked, but nothing was done. (They did bring the extra blankets after we asked a 2nd time.) We wound up leaving the unit totally off for the rest of our stay, and the temperature was fairly comfortable. 2. Found a man's dirty sock in the room. 3. Bathroom vent is EXTREMELY loud! 4. One of our lamps was burnt out. 5. There was water in the ice bucket (as in, it had not been properly cleaned and dried). 6. The ice machine was out of ice on 2 occasions. 7. Our entryway lighbulb burned out and gave off a burnt plastic smell. 8. Our keys did not work once, in the middle of our stay. 9. Two out of our 4 nights, the smoke alarm beeped 2-3 times in the middle of the night, and then stopped. 10. The sleep timer on our TV remote did not work. 11. There was a gutter right outside our window, so even when it was not raining, we could hear running water which made it difficult to sleep. 12. The iron did not work. 13. The industrial microwave in the breakfast room was extremely confusing (tried, unsuccessfully, to make popcorn one evening)! 14. The hash browns at breakfast were cold the first morning - did not try them again after that.

Would not recommend this hotel Due to age

Posted Oct 22, 2015
Pros: Nothing
Cons: All the above under write about your experience
Location: Not in a very good part of town
Did not like due to age of hotel, very small bathroom, room was clean but overall comfort was not there due to room size. No matter what you did to the thermostat the A/C would not change. The room was always very cold. Under amenities on the website it said there was a restaurant and that is not thru. When it says had a restaurant made you think you could go in anytime sit down and place your order to eat. The only time the breakfast area was open was for breakfast-only eating accommodations on the property-NO restaurant

Room quality, condition, and cleanliness was a bit disappointing. It's an average to below average hotel for the price / location.

Decent room for the price.

Posted Oct 11, 2015
Pros: Value for the price, clean and no bugs.
Cons: The eggs!
Location: Not a great part of town but convenient for my purpose. If you want to use DART, it's a bit of a walk. Have to leave the area to find good restaurant
Room was clean and comfortable. Facilities are a bit old and there was a bee/wasp nest in the balcony. I did not see any bugs in the room. Was glad there was a refrigerator. Good breakfast, nicely cooked bacon and sausage, fresh biscuits. Eggs were below standard and cold, had to make a breakfast sandwich out of them. For the price, the facility is a good option. My room was quiet and I slept well. You have to drive a bit to find a good restaurant.
