4 miles from AT&T stadium

Posted Sep 27, 2016
Staff was friendly but the facility is a different story. Bathroom vanity not stable, the ceiling tile leaking, the elevator opened just enough to to slide hand in and the breakfast was cold. Won't want to eat eggs for awhile.

In transition but overhaul is still needed

Posted Sep 26, 2016
Pros: location
Cons: gym, elevators, upgrades all around
Location: easy access north on 360 to DFW and south to Six Flags and AT&T Stadium
They may be transitioning from one hotel chain to another (Hampton to Country Inn & Suites) but it is taking to long. The gym is in bad shape with neglected equipment. The stationary bike was incredibly loud. The elevators are extremely slow and noisy and you have a sinking feeling you are about to be stuck on one. The room is OK but for the price you should receive better. This place is definitely overpriced for its current status.

Maybe it was a bad week?

Posted Sep 12, 2016
Pros: The staff member who checked us in. The breakfast. The location.
Cons: Pest control, late night service, keeping enough food on hand for breakfast.
When we checked in, the help was very friendly and helpful. The lobby looked great and they had free peanut butter cookies (great for me, bad for my wife who dislikes peanuts), but things kinda went downhill from there. When we got to our room, the wifi wasn't working, but we were so tired we didn't care much anyway. The room looked clean (if a little worn), but while my wife was in the shower, I saw a large cricket hopping across the floor. As I chased it down and moved furniture to kill, I found and killed another one as well. Luckily my wife never found out or she would never have slept, but I was too tired to find a new hotel. We were working long days at a convention and didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel, but the wifi continued to be problematic. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. The continental breakfast was good although on Sunday, they told us it went until 10:30, but when we got there at 10:15, there were out of a lot of things. The Cowboys were playing and the hotel seemed crowded, so maybe they were just caught off guard. The last night we were there, we had some extremely loud guests in a nearby room. They were slamming doors and laughing loudly until 1:30am making it very difficult for us to sleep. When we called the front desk to the person who answered seemed very unsympathetic and pretty much refused to help.

Not what we expected but not a total dump

Posted Sep 12, 2016
Pros: The location to AT&T stadium ($4 Uber ride)
Cons: The elevators felt like death traps. And they should finish the remodel asap.. the paper signs are really tacky.
Location: Cowboy stadium, 6 flags
When you arrive you immediately realize that this is not your typical Country inn and suites. It almost appears that the hotel used to be called something else and county inns and suites just bought it out. It's a bit older. The elevator was super shaky. Some of the paint jobs in the rooms and hallways aren't done which seems they are trying to remodel. All the signs on the doors were laminated paper. Also there was no fridge or microwave in the room! But for the price it got the job done. If you tell the ihop next door you're staying there they give you a discount. Don't expect fancy... but I didn't see any bugs so I was okay.
