Maybe it was a bad week?

When we checked in, the help was very friendly and helpful. The lobby looked great and they had free peanut butter cookies (great for me, bad for my wife who dislikes peanuts), but things kinda went downhill from there. When we got to our room, the wifi wasn't working, but we were so tired we didn't care much anyway. The room looked clean (if a little worn), but while my wife was in the shower, I saw a large cricket hopping across the floor. As I chased it down and moved furniture to kill, I found and killed another one as well. Luckily my wife never found out or she would never have slept, but I was too tired to find a new hotel.
We were working long days at a convention and didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel, but the wifi continued to be problematic. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. The continental breakfast was good although on Sunday, they told us it went until 10:30, but when we got there at 10:15, there were out of a lot of things. The Cowboys were playing and the hotel seemed crowded, so maybe they were just caught off guard.
The last night we were there, we had some extremely loud guests in a nearby room. They were slamming doors and laughing loudly until 1:30am making it very difficult for us to sleep. When we called the front desk to the person who answered seemed very unsympathetic and pretty much refused to help.
