Wild goose chase for room, overcharged twice

Pros: The location
Cons: Repair the elevators, educate your staff on where rooms are located and if you don't overcharge your customers.
We were told there would be a $70 deposit placed on my card that would be refunded after our stay. Not only did the $70 go through, but they charged an additional $67 to my card. We literally dropped off our bags and left to visit friends. We stayed there to sleep and didn't even use the shower or toiletries, so there is absolutely NO reason for any portion of a deposit to be forfeited. I called the hotel manager today and left a voice message and will continue to call until this is rectified. My two young daughters and I arrived at the hotel at 4pm. We were told we were in 335, and the gentleman said "it's that way" and pointed us behind the register. So we took off down the hallway, up the elevator (very old, smelly and slow with gum stuck on the wall) to the 3rd floor. The sign said rooms up to 333, but since the front desk told us it was this way we thought maybe there was another corridor. Nope. I went back up the hallway, down the elevator (with all our stuff and 2 small children) to the lobby where I went back to the front desk to ask if he had written down the wrong room number. "No, my bad. It's that way." The girls and I trekked across to the other side, up the elevator and all the way to the end to 335 where the room keys did NOT work. I tried 20x per key. Fast, slow, nothing worked. Back down the hallway, down the elevator and around to the front desk AGAIN where he made us 2 new keys. Those worked. The room was hot and the bed was uncomfortable. Won't return

It wouldnt flush without me having to fix the chain in the tank. Rather disgusting and inconvenient after working 16 hours straight.

Location: It was hard to find the hotel behind the hospital. My wade app drove me around in circles. Can you provide them an update to help find you easier?
I liked the bed and the nice staff. I had a great rest.

Birthday stay

Cons: A free breakfast
Location: Even though breakfast was not included, there are a lot of places for dining no matter what time of day. The location was great,safety was not an issu
Spent the night to attend my granddaughters birthday. The hotel was close to the venue. The staff was very welcoming. The room was super clean and had all the amenities we needed. We usually stay a Marriott if there is one close to where we need to be. We have never been disappointed.
