I am originally from the Deep South in Alabama but not huge into Country... or Western. Some of the folks who were into that sort of Wonderful community park. You can check out games of all varieties to play in the park for free and there are always food trucks. Artwork in Dallas, TX. State of the art architecture of the Perot Museum, it beautifully integrates between the natural environment and the urban structure in its design. Scardello is a superb cheese shop. You can taste anything before you buy it, they have amazing sandwiches, and on Thursday nights they do tasting classes. This was the tasting board at the Art Deco depictions of cowboys. Something you can only see at Fair Park in Dallas! The grounds are embellished with deco everywhere you look. Afternoon tea at the Adolphus in Dallas. The Perot Museum has this awesome track where you can select who you want to race ( choice of runners, cheetah, tylosaurus, t-Rex etc. the kids simply LOVE it! Although it's not as flashy and interactive as other exhibits, the specimens on display are just unbelievable! A docent told us that Lyda Hill herself often volunteers in the exhibit. She wasn't there when we visited but be sure to be on the lookout for her during your visit to ask her for some insider scoop on this mind boggling collection! The Grassy Knoll at Dealey Plaza. Gorgeous sunset mid Dallas Big Tex: the tall guy overlooks the entire Texas state fair in Dallas, Texas 03.09.16, Dallas Trinity Groves is a great place for dinner and an evening stroll in Dallas. There are several restaurants to choose from, even vegan options! No visit to Dallas is complete without a stop at Dealey Plaza. So much history. Then there's the Sixth Floor Museum with its exemplary exhibition. After googling activities in Dallas, we found our selves walking around the Thanksgiving square. Thankful for my curiosity, I couldn't walk away from this place without entering the chapel and was I grateful! Amazing feeling. When you go, make sure to lay on the floor to appreciate your view. :) Can you find the bird landing? You can walk right through a herd of longhorns and get up close to the ranchers on horseback at pioneer plaza. Definitely worth a visit! The great State Fair of Texas hosts the Texas Star.
