The staff at the front desk was very friendly and welcoming each time I returned. The only negative was one elevator was out of service. The operational one was in great demand and wait times were excessive.

"Small Stay "in the "Big D"

Booked this hotel on a late notice for a birthday getaway with my friend and wife.Off the top I must say this hotel is an embarrassment to the Doubletree brand for a litany of reasons. The most prominent of whcih was the old outdated look of the hotel, major upgrades are needed. Secondly only one elevator worked, which significantly slowed getting around the hotel. To their defense though, they posted signage to help you find the service elevator in the back of the hotel. Once in the room more disappointments come to mind.First, the rooms are extremely small.The small theme extends to the bathroom where literally only one person can fit in there at a time,and the door almost hits the toilet and tub/shower when you open it. Lastly the double bed room are furnished with small full size beds instead of queen size beds like most hotels. One positve though, was that my initial room had a large amount of brown water leaking from the wall in the bathroom, but Alma got me a new room very quickly. Overall this hotel was below average and should've been much cheaper than the $100/night they charge, should be more like $70 IMO. Probably wont stay here again, but I suppose it got the job done for a couple "cramped" days. Oh btw, the free cookies are delicious.

Good service. Friendly staff at front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance. Hotel spotlessly clean. And the warm cookies on arrival are never a bad thing ;)
