The Hotel was obviously a premier facility many years ago. The room we stayed in was musty and in need of repair. The fire protection head in the bathroom was not properly connected with the ceiling. Hot water to the shower and lavatory was very slow in getting to the faucet. The doors and walls were "dinged up" and in need of repair and paint.

Just an OK hotel, but good trip overallPosted Sep 29, 2015
Pros: bed, shower, service, security
Cons: room temperature, breakfast selections
Location: close to the galleria and some good eating places.
we love staying at the Embassy Suites. fun hotel, safe, quiet, and BREAKFAST! well, this one was just ok this time around. the staff was nice and helpful. the room was clean. however, the room never cooled down. it was hard to sleep because it was so muggy. i wasnt lookin for ice on the windows. i just wanted a cool room. we didnt complain because we were there for the football games on saturday and sunday, so we werent in the room just for sleep and to shower. the breakfast was ok, not as many options as other embassy hotels. however, i would have recommend it to a friend, i doubt all the rooms are like that, and that is really my only complaint.

Pros: What is there not to like?
Cons: size of refrigerators
Location: Plenty of restaurants, movies, Ross Perot Museum
Very much enjoyed the roomy suites, free parking, free internet, free hearty breakfast and happy hour snacks!

DON'T GO THERE!Posted Sep 7, 2015
Pros: The staff working the breakfasts and eating areas went over and above their duties - very nice. I would have hated to see the kitchen though!
Cons: This place needs a makeover from top to bottom. Better room inspections need to occur and regular bug extermination needs to happen.
Location: The location wasn't the best, but did give excellent access to the freeway.
I have stayed in Embassy Suites across the U.S., am a Hilton Honor's member, and have had 100% satisfaction with them for many years. This is the first time that I would recommend NOT to stay! We arrived on Thursday expecting to get a double bed suite (w/sleeper sofa) only to be given a double suite w/huge conference room table and chairs. I immediately requested a change and was told they were sold out of doubles. The hotel was MAYBE 1/3 booked. I asked again on Friday and was told there were no rooms available. The hotel was maybe 50% full at this point. On Saturday, as I was sitting at the conference room table, there was a roach crawling around the floor - where there's one there's more. So we checked the whole room and found hundreds of ants crawling around the baseboards in the bedroom. The maintenance man came to our room with a little can of bug spray. We demanded another room. Amazingly enough, they "found" a room and gave me a 50% credit for one night. This was on Saturday, the night before our departure and the hotel was packed. There was another huge roach floating in the pool. On Thursday and Friday nights, we took advantage of the manager's reception. On Thursday, our male bartender was superb! On Friday, the female bartender was Frankenstein's bride. RUDE and NASTY are actually too soft of words to describe her. The furniture throughout the entire place is worn out and damaged. The ATM machine was broken down.

Rude front desk but nice hotel.Posted Aug 26, 2015
Pros: Comfortable bed, roll in shower.
Cons: The front desk courtesy.
My husband and I had to stay overnight close to the North Central Surgical Center for an early morning surgery the front desk guy didn't want to rent us a room, didn't offer a hospital discount and told him he didn't have any handicapped rooms available. I'm not sure why, other than we looked like we had a rough day and were dressed very casually. We got online out in the car and booked a handicapped room through Expedia and went back to the desk for our room keys.
