We booked our reservation with hotels.com for a last minute getaway. The hotel was having some sort of event which we were unaware of at our initial check-in. We we got back to the hotel around 10:30, there were loud and drunk people everywhere. We had our 3 young children with us. My husband decided right away that we would not subject our family to any of this. I called hotels.com and told them our situation. They were very apologetic and attempted to cancel our reservation and book is elsewhere. Embassy refused. I would have rated the hotel better had they been more understanding.

Aging location and not the type of room i selected

Not sure why I did not get the room type that I initially booked with Hotels.com but rather assigned to another room that did not have sink in bathroom. Hotel staff claimed that they could not move me to another room because Hotels.com booked this type of room for me. This particular hotel is slightly aged as the room smelled a little like mold or dampness. I will not use hotels.com or embassy suites again. The breakfast was good though, and no other issues aside from this.

Good weekend

My stay was good we enjoyed My suggestion is whenever the hotel is crowded focus on eliminate wait time on queue to order cooked breakfast. One cook definitely is not an option
