You Get What You Pay For...Not So Much

Posted Jun 24, 2017
Location is fantastic. The building is old, in desperate need of udating. The bed squeaked so loud it was embarrassing. The mattress was so old and uncomfortable and I did not sleep either night. That may also have been due to the fact that the front door not having a functional lock. I reported the lock issue and it was not fixed. Bathroom in my room was gross with stains I don't want to describe. Breakfast buffet did not look very edible and smelled. I chose it for location and price. Cost $90/night and I gladly would have moved if I knew what I was getting. Perhaps not the worst ever but, higher on that list than "best ever".

Great location

Posted Jun 9, 2017
Upon my arrival it was raining and found no covered area to unload which kind of disappointed me. The Hotel staff were very nice though, even called me once in room about 30 minutes to make sure everything going was ok. Hotel is in great location where you can walk to lots of places to eat within just a block or two. I must say the room was a bit small with bed area closed in as a seperate room. Hotel was very quiet and breakfast was hot and good. I would stay here again. 4 stars from me!

Keith, Thank You for staying with us. Our rooms with king sized bed are one big room with no bedroom division. You may like one of those a bit better as they seem bigger. We are happy you had a nice stay and look forward to seeing you again.

Pros: EVERYTHING
Cons: Hotel staff given power to make decision on late arrivals.
Location: NO PHONE COULDN'T CONTACT ANYBODY!
My phone had been destroyed. I tried to get things taken care of along the way. I came from Des Moines, Iowa on my motorcycle. I left 6/6/17 8:15 AM. because of things out of my control, I was still at 10:00Pm 3 hours+ away from Addison Texas. Thunderstorms I had to stop get a room in Purcell, Ok. I was still charged for both nights. I know, not the hotel staff were responsible for this. But, I was mad. And still am.

Hotel in Addison, TX

Posted Jun 5, 2017
This was my third stay & honestly not sure I'll stay again. The staff was not very friendly this time. The sink in our bathroom was clogged up and not draining. The bathtub looked less than clean. And housekeeping took our towels but didn't leave any more even though we had one more night. Plenty of other places to stay in this area that are much nicer for about the same price. Hotel is very quiet though and the beds are comfortable.

Hotel Needs some help.

Posted May 22, 2017
Pros: Location to where I was traveling.
Cons: To many things to note here. See the above paragraph.
Location: Location is awesome and has plenty around it.
While it is located near where I was going this is not worth the money per night that it costs. I had a lot of hair in my bathtub, I had to kill a minimum of 3 spiders that were in the room, the trees outside the room prevented a good nights sleep as they were constantly hitting and brushing on the window and then to top all that, went down to have breakfast at 815 and all was cold and nasty. When they did finally bring out fresh food the eggs had so much liquid in them that you could have strained them and got a good quarter cup of liquid. This is the worst experience I have ever had at a Hawthorne Suites. Will not be staying at this location again!

Chris, Thank you for staying with us. We have spoken with housekeeping about the hair in the tub. We have also cut back the trees and sprayed for the spiders. We would of been more than happy to move you had you let us know of theses issues. The breakfast attendant also has been spoken with about keeping up better with the hot items. We wish you the best in the future.

Good Addison Location

Posted May 17, 2017
The location works well for events in the Addison area and easy access to the restaurants and shopping along Beltline Road. The rooms are in need of updating. The cabinets are showing wear as is the closet door and furniture. We enjoy having the kitchenette for longer stays. The closet is a good size but a chest of drawers or something similar would be very helpful. The room is comfortable enough and worked well for us while we attend a week long conference.

THE PICTURE MAKES THE ROOM LOOK NICE

Posted May 15, 2017
Pros: THE LOCATION
Cons: IT SHOULD MAKE THE NEEDED REPAIRS AND BETTER CLEANING
WHEN I CHECKED IN I WAITED 15MIN FOR THE FRONT DESK PERSON. THE LOBBY SMELLED LIKE AN ASHTRAY. MY ROOM WAS MUSTY, TILES WERE NAILED TO THE FLOOR. PART OF THE CARPET WAS RIPPED AND COMING UP. THE TOWELS SMELT LIKE BURNT SUGAR, AND WHEN I WENT TO MAKE COFFEE IN THE MORNING I NOTICED THE PLACE YOU PUT THE COFFEE IN WAS STILL DIRTY (USED POUCH WAS STILL IN IT). THE NOISE LEVEL WAS FINE YOU COULD HERE A COUPLE DOORS SLAM BUT THAT WAS IT. PARKING WAS EASY THE HOTEL WAS EASY TO FIND. THE BREAKFAST THEY OFFERED WAS OKAY (COLD EGGS AND BACON). I EXPECTED A BETTER/CLEANNER HOTEL THEN I GOT.

We appreciate the time you took to write this review. We will be making some upgrades in the near future. Sometimes the front desk has to go help a guest or something that takes them away from the desk. We are working with new housekeeping staff now and hopefully the rooms will get cleaned better. We do hope to see you again.

Broken refrigerator, moldy bathroom, dirty room...enough said. The general manager did reach out and said they are working with the housekeepers and also ordering a new fridge.

Posted May 11, 2017
Pros: quiet
Cons: desk clerk needs to be fired.
Location: next to an outback
deskclerk started me on a new wyndham rewards number but i had just given him my real one. he did so so he coule get a bonus. now in order to get credit for my stay i have to scan in and email wyn rewards a copy of photo ID so i can prove i am who I am...[obscenity him!!!]..he should be PAYING me for his inept action instead of me having to do all this extra work to get my points and stays on my real and original number, Will never ever stay there again.

Winston, Thank You for staying with us. I am not sure why the desk clerk put in another member number after you gave him yours. We have spoken with him about this issue. I am sorry for all the trouble is has caused you. When making a reservation thru a 3rd party you don't earn points. I hope everything is worked out now. General Manager
