Great location and views

Posted Aug 22, 2016
Location: Highly recommend the party boat that runs daily at 7 & 9pm
Stayed for two nights in August 2016. I live in the area but had friends in from out of state and we all got rooms here. Loved the hotel, no complaints. Especially surprised by how quiet it was even though there was a wedding and other events going on...must be well insulated and good quality doors.

Looked pretty, but had some issues ....

Posted Aug 16, 2016
Pros: Beautiful view of the lake. Swimming pool looked nice. Glad to have restaurant and room service on sight. Good location relative to restaurants.
Cons: Make the water not brown. Make sure all room service breakfast orders picked up off doors by 2am. Check thermostats and doors working smoothly.
Location: Near the lake, has a pool, great location to restaurant row and movie theater.
Well, it was so beautiful from the outside and inside, but I had a few issues. When I went to enter my room, the green light came on but I couldn't open the door. I went downstairs to the front desk and told them, they said sometimes the doors stick and lock on their own and sent an engineer up to open my door. Turns out it was just stuck and he had to slam his shoulder into it to open it. I'm not sure why they just didn't give me another room. My next issue was that I was not able to adjust the thermostat at all. I was too tired to wait for another service person so I just let that one go. Next, I hung my breakfast room service order on the door at 11pm and breakfast never came the next morning. I opened the door and the order sign was still hanging there, even though it said they would be picked up by 2am. Last and worst - the water when I ran the sink to brunch my teeth was brown. I even took a picture of it, it was that bad. So, I opted not to shower because of that. Glad I only stayed one night.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, Sarah. We are genuinely sorry for the maintenance and service issues encountered during your stay. We've asked our housekeeping team to report any doors that are sticking so that we can address and correct the issue proactively. Please accept our apologies for the discoloration of the water. We had to perform an emergency pipe repair which meant turning off the hot water for several hours. When it was turned back on, it led to the discoloration of the water for a short time. Again, we are very sorry for your experience and we would love you to give us an opportunity to make it right in the future.

Overall everything was average. Only one elevator was working of the two and with a cheerleader conference in the hotel and 200 teenage girls running around, the wait was long at times. I ended up using the throw pillow from the chair to sleep with because the pillows and I didn't agree but that's a "me" thing. Great sunsets over the sky line from the pool though.

We appreciate your feedback, Jason. We're sorry for the issue with the elevators. A special part had to be ordered and manufactured which delayed the repair. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience during your stay and hope you'll give us another try.

UnderConstruction

Posted Aug 4, 2016
Pros: The pool was clean and pool staff were friendly.
Cons: Desk clerk staff and construction noise
Location: Not much to do
I booked this hotel that showed Mediterranean style boutiques, restaurants nearby. Did not find any boutiques in the area. A few of the eateries had been closed. Had I been notified that noisy construction was taking place on the premise I would not have booked a stay. My three girls and I had to listen to noisy construction taking place the entire day. It was especially loud and noisy around the pool area. My 8 year old stated "Mom this noise has not stopped." Hard to relax with so much noise. The desk clerk staff was not very friendly when posed questions about the nearest restaurants or lake excursions. There was also a drone flying overhead.

We are sincerely sorry that you did not enjoy your experience, Cynthia. The City of Rockwall had to undertake emergency repairs to a broken water pipe in the adjacent Harbor. The work took longer than expected and no-one was more frustrated than we were with the length of the project. We want all of our guests to feel welcomed in a warm, professional, friendly manner and we apologize for your interaction with the front desk. Your comments have been shared with our entire team and will help us improve. Thank you again for your feedback.

Great Staff and Facility

Posted Jun 15, 2016
Pros: Strong presence at front desk. Very cordial in bar and coffee shop.
Location: Sorry to see The Harbor has lost so many businesses but for those left it was enjoyable.
in town for son's graduation and knew about this hotel from the years we lived in Rockwall. Close, clean, and comfortable

Anniversary Celebration

Posted May 23, 2016 on Hotels
We LOVED our stay at the Hilton this weekend. Mistra greeted us with a champagne toast for our anniversary and sent the chef out to greet us! We stayed in a room with the comfiest king bed that I have ever slept in and a magnificent view of the lake. We took a sailing cruise on the Seawolf the night of our stay and the hotel packed up a creme brulee to go to take on the boat! It was a very memorable weekend; one that I won't forget.

Close to entertainment and shopping

Posted May 11, 2016
Pros: One of the best features is the extremely close and free self parking. This feature is one of the reasons we chose this hotel and not one in Dallas.
Cons: We also chose this hotel for the pool. However it is not heated and very cold. My kids were able to stand the cold water but not me.
Location: Starbucks is just around the corner. Also the freeway on/off ramps are as well. Shopping galore! Every store ever opened is just a few minutes away
My family and I enjoyed walking from our hotel and within a few steps we were on the shores of a lake. We flew down from WI where the weather is still trying to warm up and visiting lakes is a few weeks out yet. We enjoyed all the activity that the lake and the area provided. On Thursday nights there is live music and I would guess that by the number of people that showed up it is a popular event. We counted four open restaurants and two that once were open. Out of the four the only one we liked was the one that served Mexican food. It was outstanding and the drinks were mixed very well. Ignore the others. There are ten more restaurants within a two minute drive as well. The Hotel is very attractive and clean. The staff was helpful and the drinks that were made by the pool were very good. They deliver right to your lounge chair. I would have given the hotel a perfect score if the pool was heated!
