Pros: Price
Cons: Extended restaurant hours, bettered beds, better TV's. Snazzier bathrooms.
Location: Nothing nearby.
This is a nice, clean hotel, but in the middle of nowhere. I would recommend if on business travel but that's it. Can't remember the last time I saw such a small TV in a hotel room. If you don't have transportation be prepared to be marooned. You have to travel at least a mile to get to anywhere interesting to eat or simply hang out. The old adage is you get what you pay for and that fits perfectly here. My last stay in Dallas area was at the Hampton Inn in downtown Dallas which was way beyond my expectations for the price. Staff is great here but it is no frills (mediocre mattress, bathrooms. restaurant only opens after 5pm etc...

Location: Very close proximity to DART with shuttle service
This is an excellent hotel. In spite of the fact that it is located close to PGBT, it is very quiet and secure. One of the best assets of the Hilton Garden Inn, Richardson, besides the fantastic staff, is the excellent heated swimming pool and very spacious hot tub. We liked this hotel so much we have become members of Hilton HHonors. Elizabeth and Edwin who greeted us at the check in desk should be commended for making us feel welcome and secure. Something on this expedia web site is preventing me from giving excellent ratings on OVERALL; HOTEL STAFF; FACILITIES CONDITION; CLEANLINESS; ROOM COMFORT!

Great stay

It was great and plan on visiting again. Breakfast was a little high but other than that it was great.

Great hotel, expensive breakfast!

An absolutely beautiful facility, inside and out. My only mishap was needing a quick plate of scrambled eggs as we had an appointment to get to. Thought I could just get this a la carte. The bill, tax included, was $10.77 for two eggs. I was told at the front desk that that was the "minimum level" for breakfast. There are no close options for food nearby.

Decent enough but not worth the cost

First off I had requested smoking room bUT got a non smoking room and if wanted to change it then it would significant amount more cause it woulda been a suite. With one bed and I required two beds.

Nice hotel

Was here for one night. Hotel was nice and clean. Staff was friendly. However the pool did close right at 11, which we didn't get in from hospital until 10:30 so kids were disappointed. Also the breakfast is not free! 10$ per person, they didn't tell us until after we were eating.

Just ok

The room was fine. The A/C didn't seem strong enough for the Texas heat. Staff was courteous and helpful. We had two issues with our stay. 1) There is apparently a group that uses the conference room every Monday night and fills the parking lot and the only side road with cars. This forced us to park down the street from the hotel. Since the ability to park at the hotel was a selling point for us, this was frustrating. 2) The pool was quite dirty when we went to use it. It wasn't growing algae yet, but was on its way. Overall, for the price, location, and room, it was just ok. There are better options in the area for the same price
