Cheap, uncomfortable

Posted Aug 2, 2016
The floor in the elevator was dirty for our entire stay. The bed was awful. The air conditioner was preset to 74 and you could not lower it which was hot to sleep. Then to finish off our stay, the construction site behind our room powered up at 5:45!! The decor and furnishings were old too.

Great place to stay for a soccer tournament. Conveniently located next to a shopping mall and lots of places to eat.

Convention Woes

Posted May 18, 2016 on Hotels
Overall, the hotel was ok. It was clean, and was in a good location. The front desk staff was less than friendly at both check-in and check-out. The weekend of my stay was also the weekend of a Herbalife convention. The hotel was full, the Herbalife representatives literally took over the hotel. When I came back to my room on Saturday night at 10:00pm, there zero parking. I called the front desk to ask if another acceptable location to park was available, and I was told I would need to park on the street, two blocks over, and walk. I'm by myself with my 5 year old son. Under no circumstance was I parking two blocks away, at night, and walking to the hotel with my 5 year old son. The lady that answered my call honestly couldn't care any less. I had to end up parking in a tow zone, along with several other hotel guests. I don't know if the convention just drew a large crowd, or if there was simply not enough parking. Also, the beds are those beds that have adjustable comfort levels. This might have been nice, but my bed was broken and just provided a large hole for me and my son to fall in. Sleeping wasn't happening anyway since the Herbalife party on Saturday night had blasting music that lasted until well after 1:00am. All-in-all, I think this hotel might be nice with limited other hotel guests staying. If the hotel is full, or has a convention, I would suggest finding another location.

Not a Great Experience

Posted Mar 18, 2016 on Hotels
For the most part the actual hotel was okay, HOWEVER The bed was way too hard and absolutely not comfortable which equals a bad night sleep. There was no dining at the hotel. We were told they closed the restaurant for lack of business, but they would shuttle us to a place that was close by. We took the recommendation and was shuttled there. The driver spoke little to NO English, and drove entirely too fast. His driving could be best described as fast stops and jack rabbit starts. We were bounced all over the van holding on for dear life. We had to laugh because it reminded us of a few action movies we have seen. The driver desperately needs classes in chauffeuring people. ie: slow down ... don't scare everyone. They should arrive at the destination in the same mental state that they got into your van with. The ride back should be booked as Disneyland attraction because it sure WAS NOT what I would expect from a Hilton Hotel. Please someone give me a break here. And why again was the restaurant closed and staff sent home? WOW, not enough business! What kind of deal is that? Are we to expect less amenities because there is not enough business to keep it open? There are certain expectations that I expected from Hilton in comparison to other less expensive hotels. I'm sure this is an isolated case and maybe the driver was sick? ... yah right! But if you're going to advertise the best, then darn-it BE THE BEST ALL THE TIME, not just at high volume times.
