Conveniently close to the airport

The room was clean and comfortable and the hotel has a shuttle that takes about 8min to get to Love Field airport but the staff weren't super helpful. My husband's winter jacket got swiped from a couch in the lobby and the staff didn't really make any effort to help us find it and seemed really disinterested in customer service. He ended up flying to sub zero Michigan the just a t-shirt. Also, the have a coffee percolator in the rooms with ground beans but no filter so we couldn't make coffee anyway.

Bed linen was clean and room was spacious. Bathroom was also clean and water flow was perfect. Breakfast in the morning was good and there was a variety to choose from.

Nice hotel, pet friendly

Pros: Room décor was nice, fridge and microwave in room, great amenities for the price the cost of the room.
Cons: Slightly better sound-proofing between floors.
Location: Easy access to highway, short drive to airports.
Hotel staff was friendly, quick and easy check-in process, nicely appointed room and small but sufficient exercise room. Breakfast was great - even had a Texas-shaped waffle maker! Complimentary oatmeal (packets), fresh fruit, juice and coffee/tea/hot chocolate were available 24-hours in hotel lobby. Plus, they are pet friendly! Unfortunately we could hear the people above us walking around (sounded like a herd of elephants) and the pillows weren't the most comfortable. Overall though, I wouldn't hesitate to return, especially if traveling with my pets!

Loud and dirty

Pros: Our room was clean.
Cons: Janitorial staff needs to be more effective.
Location: For a complete outsider that had never been to Dallas.. I takes 45 min to get anywhere because of the constructions on all surface streets too.
Major freeway construction all night. Right outside of you window.. Room was clean, but the hallways were dirty. Spills on floor random trash in hallways.

Staff needs hospitality training. Maids need cleaning training. Would never recommend this hotel.

NO ONE AT RECEPTION

I arrived at the hotel at 8:58Pm on a Wed. evening...there was no one at the reception desk nor anywhere on the ground floor of the hotel. I waited 10 minutes, walked around all of the ground floor saying "Hello" to no response. I went behind the check-in desk to see if there was any buzzer or anything to call staff. I then called the hotel telephone number thinking that this might signal to someone working there....the phone at the front desk began ringing for the next 7 minutes but did not bring anyone to the front desk. I then called the La Quinta 800 number and the operator told me that there was nothing that they could do and that they did not even have the telephone number of the hotel manager. finally after nearly than 20 minutes a man came to the front desk. He did not apologize for not being there and when I asked where he had been he said that he had been in the bathroom.....which is odd considering i had gone into the mens room off the lobby and called out "hello!" with no response. Bottom line, it is absolutely inexcusable for any hotel to leave a front desk uncovered for such a long period of time when people are still checking in or need the services of someone at the front desk. This was my first and last time at a La Quinta!

Nice 1 day stay

We truly enjoyed our stay! From the time we checked in, the staff was friendly and the hotel was clean. The mattress was a bit soft and saggy but our room smelled great & was spacious. The continental breakfast was hot, delicious and we got a waffle shaped like Texas. All in all, it was a great stay.

Noisy

Clean, nice hotel. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Free parking. The only negative is the noise. Apparently they have installed residential grade windows which allow a great deal of noise through. There is construction on the highway at night which is quite loud, and you can hear car doors slam in the parking lot. Bring you ear plugs if you want to sleep!

It's okay

Chose this hotel based on rating... it's an okay hotel. It's not close to restuarants, we had to backtrack a bit to go to A decent place for dinner. Horrible water pressure in the shower and sink
