Better Customer Service

This staff should service the customer a bit more. Some of the Ladies aren't very welcoming. They should smile more at the front desk. Chickfila workers have better customer service and better attitude than these workers at this hotel.

First Trip to Dallas/Irving

The room could have been a little larger for the price. Also there was no mini fridge or microwave. The shower was only a rainfall shower head no tub. Which is ok but the shower leaked and when it did it soaked anything on the floor in the bathroom including the bathmat to stand on. Also very slippery. Lighting was difficult to adjust to. The room door wouldn't shut all the way without pushing it forcefully. One night the door was actually unlatched. For the entire night which was very creepy to wake up to.

Bad Experiece with dog and front desk

They list themselves as dog friendly. They are not. At least not the definition I am used to having taken my dog to Austin Texas. The ONLY place my dog could go was the lobby and my room. Now how am I supposed to eat at their restaurant? If i leave my dog in the room she might bark and bother other patrons - that is not appropriate. I also asked for a fridge and microwave for the room at 3PM when i checked in. They said they would have both delivered while I was at my meetings. I came back late at night and only the fridge was there. The front desk was not able to get to a microwave as she did not have access to the room. After a very big discussion she provided me vouchers for dinner and breakfast so I could get something to eat. That is when I discovered how dog -unfriendly they were. If you have a dog find another place to stay. They next day when i got back from my meetings (after 8PM) there still was no microwave. This front desk asst mgr had the proper access and got me the microwave. He also mentioned that they changed procedures and the previous asst mgr now has access to get these items from housekeeping.

Good but not great...

The hotel has a good vibe. The bed was very comfortable. The room quiet providing great nights sleep. We liked the design of the room-simple, but complete on the essentials-and comfortable. All reasonable for the price. Staff was somewhat underwhelming with lack luster attitudes, and somewhat inattentive-for example they didn't leave coffee cups for the Keurig, and only one caffienated coffee. Otherwise the room service was good. There was a cockroach in the room which is always a turn off and an incentive not to stay again.
