My experience was great. Used the gas grill outside to cook. Staff was extremely friendly. Downside: ice maker in fridge didn’t work. Staff provided ice. Overall I knew this stay was be typical Residence Inn comfort. It lived up to that. Rarely have I've stayed at one that wasn't great. I would certainly stay and recommend it to anyone.

Pros: Hotel was clean and well kept. Manager left a little welcome snack as well as a good bye treat - a nice token.
Cons: I would prefer it all be in one building but at least they had a ramp and elevator so I didn't need to lug my bag upstairs

Convenient, Spacious, Unpretentious, long stays ok

Pros: I really liked the spacious room. The staff was very nice despite being young and not specifically trained for Hotel service.
Cons: I noticed dog's feces there and about, twice during my stay. Having a young kid who runs around, I think maybe the hotel should remind guests to clean
Location: The hotel is close to the Johnson Freeway, so it does not take much to get wherever you need to. There is a Trader Joe's at about 10' if you need to.
As stated in the name, this is a "residence inn", therefore the rooms are designed for longer stay than your typical week-ends. The rooms include a fully functional kitchen, large fridge, stove, dishes, so you do not need to go to the restaurant if you need to finish off your presentation for the following day. The room is studio size, and includes a large sofa, a full size desk. Everything is included, e.g., parking, WiFi, breakfast. This hotel is pet friendly, unfortunately, some owners seemed to forget the usual clean it up etiquette. The Hotel spreads over several separated blocks, with the lobby in the front. If you park in the back, you may have to find your way through to the lobby. This is actually what happened to me. My GPS app guided me to the back of the Hotel, and the lady that did my check-in was kind enough to relocate me closer to my car after I told her I was in the rear of the Hotel. There is a basket ball court, a swimming pool, and a barbecue area. Everything is geared to make a longer stay acceptable and decent. Of course, there are no elevators, and if you carry strollers and heavy luggage, you will have to take them up the stairs if you happen on second or third floor. Apart from that, all the rest was fine. I used the room service to get some pizza's, and that worked quite well too. The breakfast is your usual free bee one, do not expect top quality stuff, but it works to get you started in the morning.

Didn't even get to stay

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Customer service, holding reservations, cleanliness.
Location: Go somewhere else.
When I "checked in", all three people at the counter huddled at another desk for a few minutes, then came to me with a sticky note and told me I had to go to another hotel. They told me they had no rooms for me, despite paying for 2 rooms in advance. They've claimed they were going to refund my money, but I'm yet to see that. The only good thing I can say is I'm glad I didn't have to stay in that hotel, as it smelled and looked like it hasn't been properly cleaned in 20 years.

I am sorry we couldn't provide you with your hotel accommodations as planed we are currently undergoing renovations which caused us to displace some of our guest. Also due to booking with a 3 party we can not issue refund.

Watch the fees! No willingness to help!

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Staff willing to assist.
If you are on a budget like we were, $40-$50 difference is a big deal. We had our document/print-out to show our booking through Expedia: Location,Room, Per Night, Taxes, etc. Arrived to check-in and the Hotel Rep was adding an additional $45. Always ask for the break down! And we did, except this rep could not explain. There was a $100 Hold Fee for damages, which was understandable and fine, (because that would only be held if there were damages to the room and such) but this other dollar amount he could not explain, except that the system was adding it in. We just wanted to know what for? We never got the answer and his options and words were very limited to almost non existent, as to what he could do to find out what that was for and what he could do to get us checked in. He immediately moved on to someone else, while we stepped out to make some phone calls in order to be able to stay for the night. Came back in and there were no vacancies!! Unbelievable! And they still charged us $95. Pay attention, verify the prices you were given, confirm the correct amount is taken from your account, and ask questions if something is not clear!!

Hold your nose

Our room smelled so bad that we had to leave the hotel and move to another hotel. The staff suggested that we open the windows to let the room air out. The room smelled so bad you could taste the deodorizer that was used. There was no offer to move us to another room or help us find another hotel.

Okay.. Horrible electronic keys

First, it took them 20 min to find our reservation via expedia.. Last name and confirmation number didnt help.. Somehow they found it at last. We had 2 rooms.. Didnt get adjacent rooms.. With 2 kids one grandpa and husband n wife it was difficult for a 2 nite stay..But i must say... Very cordial receptionist. Give them all 5 stars.. Asked him where to get milk for kids at around 9 pm.. He asked me to take all milk I needed from their storeroom for breakfast.. Nice gesture! Their breakfast collection was awesome. Rooms were clean, and comfortable. I wished that we had 2 queen or king beds instead of just one in at least one of the rooms.. The most annoying thing was the electronic keys which and the umpteen spares they made for us didnt work most of the time. Didnt like the fact that the rooms were in a separate building from reception and requiring card access to go from one bldg to another. From safety wise it is good.. But when the keys dont work it is annoying.. Especially with luggages or kids in hand...
