Excellent

Excellent service. Person at the desk was very friendly and helpful. Excellent room. What I experienced on my stay will definitely make me want to stay at another residence inn. Great job Dallas.

Close to freeway

Posted Nov 17, 2016
My experience was great. Used the gas grill outside to cook. Staff was extremely friendly. Downside: ice maker in fridge didn’t work. Staff provided ice. Overall I knew this stay was be typical Residence Inn comfort. It lived up to that. Rarely have I've stayed at one that wasn't great. I would certainly stay and recommend it to anyone.

Pros: Hotel was clean and well kept. Manager left a little welcome snack as well as a good bye treat - a nice token.
Cons: I would prefer it all be in one building but at least they had a ramp and elevator so I didn't need to lug my bag upstairs

Convenient, Spacious, Unpretentious, long stays ok

Posted Oct 24, 2016
Pros: I really liked the spacious room. The staff was very nice despite being young and not specifically trained for Hotel service.
Cons: I noticed dog's feces there and about, twice during my stay. Having a young kid who runs around, I think maybe the hotel should remind guests to clean
Location: The hotel is close to the Johnson Freeway, so it does not take much to get wherever you need to. There is a Trader Joe's at about 10' if you need to.
As stated in the name, this is a "residence inn", therefore the rooms are designed for longer stay than your typical week-ends. The rooms include a fully functional kitchen, large fridge, stove, dishes, so you do not need to go to the restaurant if you need to finish off your presentation for the following day. The room is studio size, and includes a large sofa, a full size desk. Everything is included, e.g., parking, WiFi, breakfast. This hotel is pet friendly, unfortunately, some owners seemed to forget the usual clean it up etiquette. The Hotel spreads over several separated blocks, with the lobby in the front. If you park in the back, you may have to find your way through to the lobby. This is actually what happened to me. My GPS app guided me to the back of the Hotel, and the lady that did my check-in was kind enough to relocate me closer to my car after I told her I was in the rear of the Hotel. There is a basket ball court, a swimming pool, and a barbecue area. Everything is geared to make a longer stay acceptable and decent. Of course, there are no elevators, and if you carry strollers and heavy luggage, you will have to take them up the stairs if you happen on second or third floor. Apart from that, all the rest was fine. I used the room service to get some pizza's, and that worked quite well too. The breakfast is your usual free bee one, do not expect top quality stuff, but it works to get you started in the morning.

Didn't even get to stay

Posted Oct 3, 2016
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Customer service, holding reservations, cleanliness.
Location: Go somewhere else.
When I "checked in", all three people at the counter huddled at another desk for a few minutes, then came to me with a sticky note and told me I had to go to another hotel. They told me they had no rooms for me, despite paying for 2 rooms in advance. They've claimed they were going to refund my money, but I'm yet to see that. The only good thing I can say is I'm glad I didn't have to stay in that hotel, as it smelled and looked like it hasn't been properly cleaned in 20 years.

I am sorry we couldn't provide you with your hotel accommodations as planed we are currently undergoing renovations which caused us to displace some of our guest. Also due to booking with a 3 party we can not issue refund.

Probably wouldn't stay again, but not horrible.

The hotel needs to seriously be vacuumed. The carpets were dirty everywhere the entire 4 day stay. Breakfast was average. Hotel staff was nice and accommodating. It had quite a few amenities and they were all nice. Just felt like it wasn't very clean. Looked like they were remodeling some buildings so maybe that will change. The location is far away from everything we did, zoo, museums, downtown. It's in a business district north of downtown Dallas. Not much is around it but a few restaurants. We had about a 15-20 minute drive to everything.

I am sorry for the current appearance of the hotel we are in the renovation stages at the property which requires a high volume of traffic I have shared your feedback with the team to look into other ways of limiting the amount debris on the carpet to ensure everything look the best it can at all times.

Good service like any residence inn.

Great breakfast like I expect. I liked the pool area. Hotel is undergoing a facelift...construction, roofing, etc. My room did not cool well. But it was a heat wave and I survived. I was too tired to contemplate getting a different room.

I am excited to tell that the roof construction is completed and I'm sorry that your room temp wasn't as cool as you would like dealing with the Texas heat. We have shared your feedback with the team to improve the overall experience of the hotel.
