Great hotel, front desk? Hmmm

This was my first time at this hotel and it was really nice. I definitely enjoyed my stay. However, when I booked my room it was through Expedia, when I checked in the gentleman asked for my card and ID. It took awhile to whatever he was doing and then asked if anyone else was coming which I had never been asked that before and had also asked for their name. I thought that was very weird. So I get in my room and it is beautiful. When I tried logging onto the wifi it said they couldn't find me with my room and name info. So when I called the front desk the lady told me I wasn't even checked in! So I go back to the front desk to check in AGAIN so she also asked for my card and ID. The next morning I get breakfast and then couldn't even get back in my room. Had to go back to the front desk about that and it was barely 8:30 in the morning. Then I check my bank account and they double charged me for the room! So I paid twice as much for the room after I had already paid for the room through Expedia! So of course I go to the front desk about it a different gentleman checked and he said he already saw that I was double charged but he couldn't resolve the issue until his manager came in on Monday morning and this happened on a Saturday morning. So if you ever go to this hotel I wouldn't suggest you giving them your card if youve already paid for the room, otherwise they may double charge you. The room was very nice though. Perfect nights stay. Would def recommend for a stay in town. However I wish Expedia wouldn't require to me write so much here just to fill out the rating. I'd really just like to be able to rate the hotel with stars but now I'm just rambling to meet their minimum requirement.

Quiet and Convenient

Hotel lobby had a large area for seating large groups, a bar, and a snack shop. Hotel has a beautiful outdoor seating area with firepit. Checkin was a breeze with friendly staff. King room was spacious, clean and comfy. Found out Springhill King suites only have walk-in showers, no bathtubs, so will keep that in mind for the future. Lots of parking available and easy on/off George Bush Highway. Nice quiet area. Breakfast was okay. Definitely will stay here again.
