More grand than the pictures

Everything was good. Except they charge an extra $100/night for incidentals. Hasn't not come back off my credit card, they said it would when I checked out.... still a pending charge.

Hello! Thank you for choosing The Highland Dallas for your stay. We do obtain an approval above the nightly room & tax to guarantee for any incidental charges at the Hotel. We release the hold when a final charge is posted at check out. The issuing bank then controls exactly how long it takes for the reversal to touch your card. I apologize for the delay. The perfect location for visiting SMU.

We were placed in a handicapped room for some reason. The handicapped shower was terrible. With no ledge, water leaked all over room and out to hallway. I have stayed here before and it has always been good, especially with a child attending SMU.

Loved the overall style and service of this hotel. It's located in a prime spot in Dallas. Wish we had the choice to self park, though. $25 per day for Valet is a bit much. Room service was good, business and workout facilities were nice and upscale. The spa was great, too. Check-in and check out was quick and easy. The staff was pleasant and accommodating, as well. I was very pleased with my 2 night stay here. The little things like fresh ice water in the lobby and occasional coffee or hot chocolate, was a treat. PS - If you're in the lobby most nights after 9 pm, they have free cookies and milk available for guests.

The Knife restaurant is excellent! So good we ate dinner at our hotel both nights we stayed in Dallas! Highly recommend! My husband had a massage at Exhale spa and said it was one of the best massages he's ever had...All staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs. Very satisfied with our stay.

Convenient to SMU

Cons: wifi in gym
Location: SMU - great for parents
Staff is helpful. Water in lobby is great. Gym is nice.

Nice and comfortable

Pros: It was easy to find and comfortable
Location: It is near SMU and several museums.
The room was very large with a comfortable bed and it was also quite clean. The staff was very courteous and eager to help. I would eagerly stay there again.

Intermittent squeaky noise in my room.

There was a low-level squeaky noise that persisted intermittently. It could be heard outside in the hall as well as in my room. It was mildly annoying. I notified the staff but was never updated on it. Hope they can figure it out and correct it.
