Loved the overall style and service of this hotel. It's located in a prime spot in Dallas. Wish we had the choice to self park, though. $25 per day for Valet is a bit much. Room service was good, business and workout facilities were nice and upscale. The spa was great, too. Check-in and check out was quick and easy. The staff was pleasant and accommodating, as well. I was very pleased with my 2 night stay here. The little things like fresh ice water in the lobby and occasional coffee or hot chocolate, was a treat. PS - If you're in the lobby most nights after 9 pm, they have free cookies and milk available for guests.

The Knife restaurant is excellent! So good we ate dinner at our hotel both nights we stayed in Dallas! Highly recommend! My husband had a massage at Exhale spa and said it was one of the best massages he's ever had...All staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs. Very satisfied with our stay.

Nice and comfortable

Posted Dec 9, 2016
Pros: It was easy to find and comfortable
Location: It is near SMU and several museums.
The room was very large with a comfortable bed and it was also quite clean. The staff was very courteous and eager to help. I would eagerly stay there again.

Intermittent squeaky noise in my room.

Posted Nov 29, 2016
There was a low-level squeaky noise that persisted intermittently. It could be heard outside in the hall as well as in my room. It was mildly annoying. I notified the staff but was never updated on it. Hope they can figure it out and correct it.

"This is Not a Refrigerator"

Posted Nov 22, 2016
Cons: Entire property needs updating.
Location: In n Out Burgers across street.
The refrigerator in the small room had a sign that read, "This is Not a Refrigerator" when it obviously used to be. You could see candy through a window, but it was locked and no key was provided. This is indicative of the entire hotel. This very dated property appeared to be designed and purposed for large corporate meetings. Very impersonal. Huge public spaces with rooms small and very dated. More high end motel road lodging style than luxury hotel; the plastic drinking glasses replaced with glass ones. Unwelcoming reception. Very slow elevators. Really nothing to recommend this hotel except perhaps the best food waitress ever for a long business breakfast. And there is a very large lobby area for small 3-4 person meetings. There are much better choices in the area.

Dear Norman - I'm not certain which Hotel you actually visiting while in Dallas but I don't believe it was The Highland Dallas. We are not located near an In n Out Burger and have renovated the property just a few months ago! Next time you are in Dallas you should choose The Highland Dallas, you will love the Hotel. Highland Dallas Hilton is a first class experience

Posted Nov 9, 2016
I am a travel consultant and brought 10 ladies for a 'girl's trip' to Dallas last week. While staying at this lovely boutique hotel the entire staff did an amazing job to make us feel 'special'. As a matter of fact, that was a comment that was made at the end of our stay by one of ladies. I want to especially commend the Concierge, Eloy Calvo; without his assistance we would not have known all that was available to us while in the Highland Park area. Eloy went out of his way to ensure that our stay was always comfortable and that all our expectations were met. Also, Michael, valet management, was there to serve us in an outstanding manner. I will be bringing other groups to the Highland Dallas.

Pretentious

Posted Oct 12, 2016
Cons: Hot tub and pool area suck
Totally overpriced for what it is, poorly designed pool facilities, mediocre food, 2nd stay there just not up to par. La Quinta blows it away. $27.00 for guest parking: ridiculous.

David - Sorry your experience did not live up to expectations! We strive to give our guests the best experience possible. A La Quinta hotel experience is vastly different than a full service boutique Hotel. All best, David
