We love the idea of this property, beautiful room, and they let us in before check-in time. Once in, we found terrible Internet, and almost no water pressure. We called immediately and was told that there would be no fix until the next day. After our stay, I reached out and was told that had we let them know while we were staying, all would have been fixed or room changed, which we did and neither option was provided. We feel this to be rather disingenuous.
Our major problem, however was that upon arrival we were told that breakfast was included. They say that they did not say that and that this may have been a language interpretation issue. We grabbed a cup of coffee and a croissant on the way out and then we’re charged the equivalent of $65. We let them know at the time and would have at least appreciated an offset. But like the other issue, was just told that there’s nothing they could do and we were sent on our way.
I never write negative reviews – almost never. I wanted to love everything about this place, but ended up feeling like they had ruined , our time in Amsterdam.
OK, now get ready for the standard response that they appreciate our feedback and will let the supervisors know.
