Hotel is in a perfect spot right in the centre

Pros: The staff are extremely welcoming.
Cons: Room service. unfortunately there was none. If there was a way you could order food etc.
Location: Sex Museum Museum of Prostitution Canals/Boat rides Food Stores Clothing Stores Cafe's
Where the hotel is situated is great as you have an awesome view of the street and you are across from the central plaza. especially if the weather is nice, the sun will shine right through. You have access to transport very easily as the tram stop is literally outside. You are near a majority of attractions, food places and cafe's. Would recommend this hotel whether with family, friends or gf/bf.

Great location

Hotel is located at the heart of the Dam, staff super friendly and helpful, they looked after our luggages as well after we checked out, that’s a plus for us. A+.

Close to all the coffee shops and restraunts

Cosy and warm welcome, coffee shop was main thing to look for and was really easy to find and food was just as easy! Right next to red light district

Great central location

We arrived at the hotel and as we were early we wanted to just leave our bags there but the gentleman at reception said there was a room available there and then so we were able to check in early which was amazing! The room was nice and clean. I was very happy to see Douwe Egbert coffee in our room! My only critique is that it was very cold, particularly if you left the bathroom door open. There was a heater in the room but didnt seem to make much difference. It didn't affect our stay however as we were out and about for the majority of the day! Maybe a towel rail or something might help! I liked the contact less style entry cards and the modern display for if you didn't want to be disturbed or have your room made up. Very modern! The restaurant was closed as they were renovating but this did not disturb us at all. There were signs up in the lift to say there may be some disruption between 9am to 6pm but I didn't hear anything. A very nice hotel with friendly staff. If I decide to come back to Amsterdam, I will definitely want to come back to this hotel!

better hotels for the price

Pros: i liked everything but nothing was ,,,,, well not basic
Cons: do something or have something that makes your place original ,
Location: central to eating drinking and bars
so i threw the dice and picked this place for hotel one of my 3rd trip to amsterdam this year . everything is fine here but ..... it lacked any level of wow , for the price point it was a waste of a hotel stay. everything is ok but .... well it's just a normal hotel , nothing special , ahh and laundry lost a pair of pants then found them the next day so ,.... guess thats a side note

Fabulous hotel in a great location.

The hotel was in a great location right in the centre of Amsterdam, which we were lucky to get a good deal on! The staff and room we had were very pleasing and I don't have anything extreme to fault on. Room was cleaned everyday with fresh towels. The only issue I had was the temperature of the shower and taps kept going very hot, even when on a low setting. Overall fabulous hotel.

Great Location

The only negative with the hotel was that the elevator wasn't working. Also the restaurant was under renovation and expedia did not publish that.

Great location, clean, but lift doesnt work

Comfortable room Clean Location is great, close to restaurants and square. Bit of a walk from the train station Lift doesnt work which is really annoying, we had to walk up three flights of stairs each time coming back Hotel undergoing renovation, to eat you have to go to another hotel
