Only given 2 sets of towels for 3 adults, Asked for 3rd Set and was give ONLY 1 small pool towel, both days. . Was told they ran out. Carpet damp and stains EVERYWHERE. Inside and out of room. Elevators very stuffy and scary noisy. No phone service didn’t work.Extremely Loud music next room with Marajuana seeping through the door. Night girl did go and tell them to stop and go outside…Not only did we pay a lot for our stay, but had to pay for parking and had to drive around for 25 mins both nights… then service and rooms were very substandard. Absolutely worst room ever… pretty sad😡😩😩😣

Carpet had musty smell everywhere you walk down the isles, parking very hard to find didn’t have enough of saw some people had to park in the street, and the drain in the shower was very slow was standing in the water while I showered.

I came to ritzy Dana Point for a funeral and was shocked at what a dump this hotel is. Only one employee working exhaustively to check new guests in. Unacceptable, unhealthy breakfast, dirty tables. The rooms appear clean but feel filthy. Heard the building will be torn down. Thank goodness. Although I’m sure I’ll be priced out of the market!

The location of this property is perfect, but the building is run down and dirty. We had zero housekeeping the entire 6 days we stayed. We had to go to the front to get towels, which they were always out of. Our room was dirty, the air conditioner had 2 inches of dust on the vent that we were breathing in daily until we cleaned it ourselves. The balcony was covered in cobwebs. They put us in a handicapped room, which we are not handicapped. The closet hangers were 1/2 way up so you couldn't really hang anything long, the shower was for a wheelchair so water filled the entire bathroom floor. If location is the most important thing than its a great option, but bring your own bedding and cleaning supplies.

You can hear neighbors at night through thin walls, had to call from my cell to have neighbor bring tv volume down at 2 am. kept me up! All room doors slam shut and wake you up, phones in room are just a prop! They had no extra pillows.

Was one of the WORST properties we have stayed at. Mold throughout the bathroom, blood stain on the bed cover, lumpy/old pillows! Refused to give me a complete refund after we showed the front desk person, Aris, a video of the mold. He said it wasn't his problem, we could call the city attorney and the owners knew about the issues but we're not going to fix anything because the hotel will be torn down next year. Absolutely rude and disgusting.

As we drove in we said “this is great. Right at the marina.” However, door lock didn’t work well, sink and tub drains were very slow and general appearance was old dated without renovations. So sad.

We loved our stay! It wasn’t our first and won’t be our last. This place is in need of a makeover, but we consider that part of its charm. It the reason we keep coming back, it’s convenient and comfortable. The staff is great, the location can’t be beat and the price is right.

Our room faced the harbour and it was lovely. We had a spacious room that was clean but if I could change one thing it would be to remove the carpet. The room is dated but it was fine for what I paid and for the beautiful view. We loved the breakfast and the pool.

The property is a little run down, and not enough cleaning staff so check in at 4 PM ?! is kind of ridiculous. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good, many choices of healthy foods. The parking cost 💲15, and the room almost $200. But the hotel is closest of any, to walk through shops and along the marina seeing the boats. Glad the shops and restaurants are all open except the El Torito closed and moved to a different shopping area nearby.
