Check me in and shut up

The hotel itself was nice enough, but I was pretty annoyed by the staff. We stayed there both on our trip out and back. We began calling it "Foxville" rather than Knoxville because Fox TV was on constantly in the lobby. The young man who checked me in both times lacked any real enthusiasm until he began to preach to me about religion and politics. (What are you, like 23? I have been teaching for 20 years and have traveled all over the world. What the heck do you know about anything?)You might suggest to your employees that they should stay away from engaging in political conversations with guests because 1)he didn't know what the heck he was talking about, 2) it's bad business etiquette. Other than that, the room was clean, the food was minimally palatable (made less so by the blasting of Fox news while we ate), and the price was OK.

We are happy to hear that you enjoyed our hotel, however we are sad to hear that our front desk agent did not provide you with the excellent service that we always strive for. Please know that your comments have been passed onto our agent who is a Veteran and who served 2 turns in Afghanistan.
We truly apologize if his views have upset you as it was never his intention.
We hope to welcome you again.
