Older motel renovated nicely

The desk clerk wasn't chatty, but he had our reservation and checked us in promptly. The layout of the room suggests the motel has been around for a few decades, but the room has been updated nicely. The room even has a refrigerator and microwave, exceeding my expectations. The bed and pillows seem comfortable. This is a perfectly good choice for a night's sleep.

The mountain view was beautiful, the hotel is on the top of a hill. Access was a bit tricky, depending on the direction you come from. Very dated room and decor - dark and gloomy, but it was clean. Although check out is 12 noon, housekeeping was pounding on my door at 9 a.m. until I answered and explained we had not checked out!

Pros: Very clean.
Very nice and clean hotel. Breakfast was excellent. Not always the best experience with Quality Inns in the past, but this one is the best we've stayed in thus far.

Good location close to all of our golf courses.

Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and stocked fully with towels and toiletries. However if you're going to find someplace to eat do not go across the highway and eat at the seafood restaurant next to the Ruby Tuesday's it was absolutely horrible.

Very loud.

Pros: That a room was available.
Cons: The entire hotel needs a coat of paint and the rooms need renovation.
Road noise from the nearby highway made it hard to sleep. We turned on the load air conditioner to drown out the noise. The room was very old and dark. It wasn't dirty, but it "felt" dirty. I told my 10 year old not to take off his clothes or socks when we went to bed and we didn't feel comfortable using the shower. In the morning we just washed our faces, brushed our teeth and checked out as soon as we could.

We are saddened that our 24 hour front desk was not given an opportunity to correct the issue by relocating you to a different room. It saddens us that you did not enjoy our rooms as they were renovated last year to the standards of Choice Hotels. Our property is located right by I40 and the rooms facing the highway do tend to be a bit louder, however we do offer complimentary ear plugs. We have wonderful group of employees here who work hard on providing our guests with excellent stay by making sure our customer service is at it's highest level and our rooms are nice and clean. I am truly sorry that your experience did not earn us an excellent score. We will continue to work hard to earn the business of every guest and we hope you will return and allow us another opportunity to provide you with a superior experience. Have a great day!

Hotel is old and in need of renovations, door of rooms opens to outside, lots of road noise from I40

Being an older hotel our rooms do open to the outside, which is disclosed on our website. We take pride in our hospitality and our spotless rooms, and we always try to stay ahead of renovations.
