It is a hotel with a bed... nothing more

If you are looking for more than a bed to stay in, you have picked the wrong place. The doors that are supposed to be locked after hours don't lock. They know about it, but have failed to do anything about it for over a year. Because the readers don't work, the panic bars are zip tied in the unlocked position. One night, a transient was knocking on doors asking for money. He was later picked up by law enforcement, but good thing I came armed. The rooms need some SERIOUS TLC. Based on the discoloration of, well, everything, you could tell the rooms were previously smoking rooms. I say this because of the constant smoke smell we experienced. Another good indication of them being smoking rooms were the cigarette burns on furniture, countertops, linen, and the nicotine stickiness of the carpet. Good thing we were also equipped with Benadryl and socks. The air freshener, labeled with a $25 sticker in case of theft, could only do so much. The staff was very helpful, although at check-in, it took a few minutes to review all of the posted notes and signs on the window. It was convenient to downtown and within our budget. The hotel was a place to rest at night during a time of grief due to a death in the family. If you need the same, this may fit that criteria; otherwise, look elsewhere.

The hotel was nice for the price the only thing that I would say is negative is that there is a restaurant right next door and on karaoke night it is very loud if you were on the bottom floor

Frustrating experience

We reserved 3 non smoking rooms,when we arrived we found rooms were smoking (and smelled badly of smoke). Hotel was able to switch 1 room to a non-smoking room and told us they could switch the remaining 2 rooms to non-smoking the next night. We switched the 2 rooms the next night but, the 2 new rooms were also smoking (not sure why we were switched from smoking rooms to more smoking rooms) The hotel then charged us for the rooms we did not use and for the rooms they switched us too (they billed us for 4 smoking rooms when we only used 2 smoking rooms). The hotel itself is OK and would stay there again (in a non-smoking room) if the staff was more competent and helpful.

Hotels.com is stupid so is Super 8

My wife is handicap, I told Hotels.com I need a roll in shower handicap room, she searched and found one and we booked it. When I received my confirmation I called the hotel directly and verified the handicap room with the roll in shower, no tub. When we arrived there was a tub, no one could do anything for us and no money was returned.
