The hotel was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the price was right. We had our dog with us so I was not too happy that someone was putting food out for the stray cats because it made walking her super stressful. Would stay here again. It is right off I95 with lots of choices for eating fast food if you need a quick bite!

The motel was challenging to access as you get in via the hotel next door entrance. Terence, who checked us in was awesome. He welcomed us and made sure we were comfortable. The room was comfortable but the bathroom dated. There wasn't much in the way of dining close by.

Not the best place or area in Darien to stay. Would suggest staying in the historic waterfront and eating at B&J’s to make your time there enjoyable. The hotel was bare bones, musty, very understaffed, and cleanliness questionable. Our keys messed up twice and one of those occasions it was a while before we could locate a staff member to let us in our room. The area eating and gas places all have 1 star reviews and horror stories, look it up if you’re interested. Avoid this area of 95. We stayed there as a option to camping, we should have camped or spent the extra money to stay on the waterfront area. Sad this has been my only bad review on Hotels.com.

Great place to stay my second visit there the only problem I had was room service walking in my room while I was sleeping knowing my room was not due for cleaning begin that I just checked in at 5am other than that nice place respectful sweet staff

This was the perfect stop for us traveling up 1-95 from Miami to Virginia with two cats. Extremely friendly couple at the front desk, room perfect to get a quick night's rest before hitting the road again. While the hotel is very close to the interstate and has a number of fast food options, it is worth the 2-3 mile drive down to the charming little "downtown" of Darien right on the river with some good more upscale restaurant options (seafood, Mexican, etc) .. this will be our stopping point from now on (we do the Florida-Virginia drive with regularity).

I liked that it was not carpeted, as I myself travelled with a pet and having floor feels a lot cleaner. The bed was comfortable. The check in staff was very friendly. What I didn't like: the door did not close from the outside. No matter how many times I tried to make sure it locked, it did not. I was only there one night and it locked from the inside but that's something that should be fixed. I did report it upon checkout. The showerhead was weak. Water pointing all different directions. Lastly, the noise level (but not the property's fault...just inconsiderate guests) who were moving furniture up to 2 am. Not sure what they were doing upstairs but if you are sensitive to noise, request a 3rd floor room so you don't have to worry about that. They have elevators. Overall a nice place for a one night stay on your way north or south.
