Excellent Location

Posted Apr 22, 2016 on Wotif
We were very impressed with the improvements made at this facility over the past year. The grounds look fantastic, the apartments are much cleaner and kitchen has had a facelift. The pool was refreshing and clean. The great advantage of City Gardens is its location. It is an easy location to find, and no hassle to get to with a boat on the back. There is generally enough parking for your boat also. The apartments are located only a short walk from the city centre. We would certainly recommend City Gardens as an ideal facility for families or groups of friends.

Hotel is close to the city center. Comfortable.

Pros: The shower and the laundry all in the same unit. Nice.
Cons: The garden probably needs a bit of work at the back of the room. But still nice though.
Location: There is a crocodile farm to visit that is not too far from the hotel. Airport is only 14 minutes to the apartment.
The kids had a lovely time. The hotel swimming pool was clean and the rooms clean as well. Friendly staff and very helpful. The air condition in the apartment was already running before we arrive which makes the difference from the heat we encountered coming from the airport. It was lovely.

Thanks for staying. The garden changes every year with the Wet Season, so we are currently working on those improvements around the property in time for the Dry.

Great Family Stay!

Posted Jan 11, 2016 on Wotif
We've stayed here quite a few times. Excellent facilities for families. Easy access, parking is close to all units, pool is clean and user friendly and the apartments are close proximity to the centre of Darwin. The staff are friendly and very helpful. We will definitely be staying here again.

Great Location Walk to where ever you need to go

Posted Jan 4, 2016 on Wotif
Pros: Location and Facilities
Cons: Making sure facilities are all in working order.
Location: Waterfont, Wavepool, Shopping,
Great Location Walk to where ever you need to go, Older style accommodation. Stove was not working right. Austar not working. Stayed in very first unit on top floor closest to reception. Stayed here as a family. Having laundry facility in the unit was important to us. If you don't have a car this is the place to stay if you need fully self contained accommodation. Waterfront is at the end of Woods Street and down the hill appx 1.1km. Supermarket is a couple of blocks away. Service Station is the next block behind units. Shops and post office appx 700m away. I will stay again.

Amazing family holiday

Posted May 19, 2015 on HotelClub
We were very pleasantly surprised when we got to our room. The bathrooms in side the apartment had been fully renovated you are equipped with shower loo washing machine and a dryer p. Beds were extremely comfetable and there was plenty of room to cook a meal if you didn't want to venture out. Foxtel was available so was nice to watch a movie after a long day of exploring Darwin. If you have a family and want value for money stay here

Happy Darwin getaway.....

Had very enjoyable trip to Darwin with friends. No complaints about City Apartments, friendly helpful staff. The four of us were very comfortable staying in the 2 bedroom apartment. Would stay there again, in city, close to everything........
