Everything was great… night-time storm/power outage activated smoke alarm. Had to remove from mounting to get it to stop beeping ; but otherwise no problems. A freight lift would be nice for luggage and groceries……

We were given the wrong code for the house we called to let them know that we could not get in everytime they gave us the wrong code. We started trying different numbers in the code range they gave us and finally figured the code out ourselves. The last set of numbers they gave us was 0056 and the code to get in was 0556. The pool was suppose to be cleaned on Saturday and Tuesdays. The pool was nasty when we arrived on Saturday we called about getting the pool cleaned still the pool didn’t get cleaned on Tuesday either. Called again we were told that the work order would be updated but no guarantee that the pool would get cleaned and the pool never got cleaned. We got this house because we wanted to be able to enjoy the pool that came in it but we never got to get in it because it was so nasty. The air in the bedroom with the bunk beds is extremely hot we used the ceiling fans plus the other fans we found in the house and it never got cool in that room. If this was my house I would be finding some other rental company to manage it because vacasa did a very poor job of helping with the problems. I will not recommend this house because of the property management company.

There's something for everyone at this amazing property! You could not ask for a more well appointed rental for a gathering of family and friends. Everything was well maintained and clean. I would definitely reserve this property again for future beach trips.

The pictures must have been taken when the property was freshly built, when we got there, paint was chipping in the kitchen under the sink, the window seal in the kitchen was gross and dusty like it hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time. The air ducts were caked with dust along with the light above the table. There was a fire a few days before we got there a few houses down, so a pool guy was there, but the poolStayed gross for several days. After sending a picture of the green pool, they finallyCame back out to address the issue, but it was already half way through our stay. The safety gates to the pool and the stairs were non functioning, which is a huge liability and they said they would come to fix, but never did. The bunk room was so hot the kids could not sleep in there and they never came to address the issues.The only rooms that stayed cold were the two rooms on the side of the kitchen, the rest of the rooms were warm. The grill did not work, and we notified them of that as well, as we were unable to successfully cook the steaks we bought which was very disappointing. I let management know that I had no problem spending a ridiculous amount on the house because of what I thought we were getting but when we got there, it was extremely overpriced for what we got. They said they would compensate us somehow, but have not heard from anybody since. we are very disappointed that we spent so much money and got Little to no attention and had these issues. Rip off!!!

What an amazing place to stay! Directly on the ocean, fun pool, volleyball net. I don’t think there is anything I’d change. Hoping to stay again.

Perfect for a peaceful weekend!

We had a great stay at Sunkissed. There was plenty of space for a large group (even if the bunkbeds were difficult for adults to share). It's right on the beach with a great deck and heated pool looking over the Gulf. The pool was perfectly heated for February and there was plenty of seating for everyone to enjoy a great day in the sun! Our only suggestion would be to bring extra trashbags, paper towels and toilet paper as there wasn't extra or enough for a group of 22. Regardless, it was a wonderful weekend! We'd come here again!

Terrific

Amazing property and loved the uncrowded beach. Even with the holiday, there was still plenty of room to enjoy the views on the sands. Great dolphin viewing as well!

Perfect location, peaceful and quiet

The house was beautiful. We would rent from Mary again hands down. The location was peaceful. House has EVERYTHING you need. A bonus is the private heated pool. I looked forward to this pool since I booked last October. However Vacasa property management was not great. 1/5 stars from me. The pool was warm when we arrived Sat 4/20/24. However by Tuesday morning the pool felt cool, not warm. The owner (Mary) had texted me to make sure that our stay was starting off great, so I mentioned the pool temp to her. After some conversation about the outside air temp vs. expectations on the heated pool experience. She mentioned reaching out to Vacasa if it got worse. Also shared the pool guy cleans it Sat and Tuesday. So if something is wrong, he would correct it when he arrived. We were gone most of the day so we never saw anyone clean the pool. On Wednesday afternoon we got in the pool and determined it was just too cold to enjoy it. I called the CS number for Vacasa to report the pool temp was too cold. They took my information and said their pool guy will call me to setup time to come by. Help did not arrive until Friday at 4:00pm. Just too late for us to enjoy it. I’m very sad about that.

I’m very skeptical of places actually being like they look in photos and I can confirm this house exceeded my expectations. The open floor plan will allow you and your family to never feel crowded. There were 8 adults and 4 toddlers with us and even with the kids running around, we had plenty of room. We cooked at home every night and found the kitchen to have all utensils and cookware provided for big meals. The location was what sold me. Walk off the stairs on to the private beach. No fighting crowds for a good spot by the water and quick to get back inside if need be. The house was spotless when we arrived. There was Toilet paper in each bathroom (1 roll) and paper towels in kitchen (2 rolls) along with dish washing detergent which is nice to get you along while your getting settled in before heading to the store to stock up on whatever you may need. I highly suggest bringing a vacuum with you for your stay. There is a broom and dustpan but I feel like the vacuum would make shorter work out of all the sand that accumulates on the floors. The back deck is almost as big as the living room/kitchen area and is where we spent most of our time when at the home. The heated pool helped tremendously since the ocean was still too cold to get in. There are two shallow “lounge” areas where the 2 yr old liked to splash around at too Highly recommend this place. Already rebooked for the fall time!

Beautiful house on a private beach.

The house was as beautiful and comfortable as it looked online. Our family of 15 had plenty of room to enjoy time together. The beach is so nice and has a private feel. The town is small and not as commercialized as many of the Alabama beaches. We had a great time.

40th Birthday Getaway

We escaped from New Orleans to this lovely home on Dauphin Island. Even though it was chilly, it’s a great location to walk the beach. The porch was lovely, room accommodations were awesome to have each room with its own bathroom and great open concept. Town is a short drive but no need to leave this house!

Made reservation through VRBO got Vacasa

We loved the house. But the pool was leaking (a crack.) Vacasa was not all that responsive and when they did respond they told us it wasn't leaking it was evaporation from the heater (we have photos, a crack, water leaking out, and in the end after they did turn off the inflow - 10 inches of water left - that would be a lot of evaporation! Not good customer service.) I would have preferred to work with a local agency. But sadly that doesn't happen much anymore. In the end Vacasa says they will reimburse -- will see if they do. They haven't done much to instill confidence.

awesome family time

we loved everything about this rental except the stairs, a lift would have been a tremendous help with getting little ones to the beach and car, other than that everything was perfect! the beds were very comfortable and the bedrooms were very quiet. the kitchen was awesome with plenty of seating for our party of 12. We hope to make this a yearly vacation.
