Not as expected with the price paid per room

Posted Jun 6, 2017
Pros: Not a lot the food was cold in the restaurant and the staff did not seem to care about the problem
Cons: The restaurant food temperature to make it more palatable and the staff to improve there attitude towards the general public.
Location: The outside areas were not very clean
It seems that the hotel group is not run for individual couples but for groups of people IE golfing and company events

Nice reception area

Posted May 18, 2017
Pros: Clean and modern looking bar and reception area
Cons: Everything! Its almost as if they re decorated all downstairs to a new, modern, high standard... but then forgot about the actual rooms completely!
Location: work trip- not much nearby
Nice reception, Bar and Breakfast area. That's about it!! Really long walk to the rooms through extremely dated corridors- The place is like a Maze! Very dated rooms! Carpet hanging up, big clunky wardrobe in the way as soon as you open the door. And lets not get started on the bathroom!... Old, Shower and sink unclean, mouldy taps. Horrible shower curtain. No water provided, £5 tray charge to get a bottle of water (plus however much the water is, and judging by the bar prices i'm guessing a lot!)

Conference, function and golf facility.

We (2 adults, + 7 y-o) stayed 1 night. Room was fine..but no obvious adjustment for 3rd person (if we'd asked we could'very had extra bed) with 2 of everything. Shower was fine but could do with deep clean of grout etc. Buffet style dinner was included in expedia rate so good value - although the restaurant was unable to serve an Irish coffee!

Unimaginative hotel with long corridors, pool is a very long way from hotel. Rooms are OK, food is missable and over priced.

not for families :(

swimming pool restrictions for kids which was the main reason for going, we arrived at 4:50 and was told it shut at 5pm..what a coincidence that there was no info on this at any stage of the booking process. room was a double with 2 rollout beds so was extremely tight, luckily there was no emergency like a fire as it would have been very difficult to escape. on the plus side, breakfast staff were very pleasant and food was good.

We stay here while visiting family in Daventry, the rooms are clean and good size. Breakfast can be a bit busy, but plenty to choose from.
