“One of the best independent pub hotels I have stayed in. Cannot fault the accommodation but the drive to and the parking in the village could prove challenging if you are not used to driving in rural single track areas. Great place”

“The stay was good. The pub was clean, the staff really friendly and the food was good too. But I'm not sure about putting guests in the top floor rooms with only a fan! The rooms were unbearably hot. The fan did nothing and the only time the room cooled was the early hours of the morning. Not good!”

“Great place to stay with only a one minute walk †o the beach across the hotel's garden. The room was fine but the tv was a bit small to watch the tennis - joke. The breakfasts were excellent and the staff very helpful.”

“Newly built hotel with modern very clean design. Rooms with sea view have a spectacular view. Great location on bus route around Torbay. Breakfast and dinner of good standard. Staff are very efficient, attentive and pleasant. One thing to note is the £15 per day car parking fee.”

“What a beautiful day this was. The views from the Inn are stunning. I was welcomed by Kevin (the owner) on arrival. I enjoyed a fabulous home-cooked styled curry for dinner (a must have if you are there for curry night). The rooms are clean and nicely set up. Both Kevin and Suzanne are superb hosts. Looking for a great place to stay this is it. I look forward to my return.”

“Hotel has been refurbished downstairs in the main areas to a high standard, the patio area also. However the bedrooms are in need of some updating. Shower room had nowhere to put any cleaning stuff! The shower didn't work properly. Bed was really comfy. Great breakfasts maybe a bit expensive. This is constructive criticism, the place is great and I'd stay there again.”

“Renovations are planned so we knew what to expect. Very dated but lovely old building. Staff were great and did their best. Great breakfast and comfy bed. Our stay a bit uncomfortable due to extreme heat. Despite this we enjoyed our stay.”
