Fine, but plan to eat breakfast elsewhere

Posted Dec 17, 2017
The hotel is just fine. Fairly updated and clean. The staff is very friendly, but we had a terrible experience at breakfast. It was a very busy morning (UD graduation) and they just didn’t have enough staff to manage the breakfast crowd. It took 40 minutes to get microwaved egg sandwiches, which were cold when delivered. Half of our order never did come out before we had to leave.

DISAPPOINTING

Posted Dec 5, 2017
Pros: The only good thing about staying is is Brian? the bartender was very nice, friendly and made a very good salad!
Cons: Yes, re grout your bathrooms, get better beds/pillow, and stop charging for coffee/breakfast!
Location: Dayton, off 251, and I don't know what can be done nearby. we didn't see a restaurant or anything. It was off by itself.
First of all, we are in THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND WE SPEAK ENGLISH! I should have known not to book the room when Expedia only spoke broken English, Next, the advertised price was $89?, a night, once it cleared and gave me the confirmation page, it jumped to $124 a night. The bathroom had mold growing in the grout all around the tub. You had to pay for everything from your coffee, water, to breakfast! You would think at $100+ a night, you would at least get free coffee! No buffet, nothing! When I was told that coffee is $3-$8? a cup, I was AFRAID TO USE THE COFFEE POT IN THE ROOM, especially after seeing a bottle of water in the room with a $3.50 price tag on it. They take your credit card upon registering and charge your card for everything. My daughter used the pool, now I am wondering if I will get billed, since she had to swipe the room card! The beds and pillow were hard and uncomfortable! I didn't sleep well and woke up with a backache! I have already, NOT recommended the Hotel Chain to family and friends via Facebook. There was a Marriott nearby, Save your money, your sleep and your back and stay there!

Average hotel

Pros: Location
First of all, it isn't written anywhere that they hold 20% for incidentals and actually charge it to your card upfront. They do this apparently at the Marriott and Courtyard in Dayton. They said you get it back within 35 days! Bathroom had someone else's hair on the floor. Not really sure it is worth the money.

From check-in to departure, the staff looked after my needs in between my coming and going. With 24hour staff available I never had to search, or want for anything. I will gladly return to this hotel and tell my friends to stay there as well, if they journey to Dayton. Kudos all around are warranted. BROVO ZULU
