Under Renovation

Pros: We really like the room layout with the full kitchen amenities and the room is always clean and comfortable.
Cons: Besides the renovation issue, they continue to have small problems like the ice maker in refrigerator not working (2nd time in last three stays).
Location: Very close to shopping and very good restaurants
My wife and I regularly stay at this motel when we are in Dayton. It is currently under renovation which is needed. However, I found the management of this renovation very poorly executed. They left trash, cardboard, furniture, and other items in the driveway, sidewalks, etc. overnight in the rain. Much of the light trash blew freely around the premises.

Hi Keith, Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback for us. We actually did speak with the contractors today about getting the loose debris picked up and have ordered a second dumpster. Sometimes renovations run a little faster than anticipated, sorry! But, the rooms are looking beautiful.

You get what you pay for!

Pros: Rooms are spacious, bed is comfy. Each room has a kitchen that is fully equipped. Bathroom, living room furniture and electronics make it convenient.
Cons: Staff needs to be trained formally or via rotation. They seemed confused themselves on several accounts (maintenance schedule, fireplace, phones etc.)
Location: Great location with several good eating places, shopping mall and entertainment options available nearby. Hotel lobby will have flyers with coupons.
This hotel offers excellent value for the boarding charges you invest, but has a tremendous room for improvements, hence not giving a '5-star' rating. In my case, this hotel worked out OK since I was familiar with the area, being there just to relax with family (as opposed to visiting the area as a visitor first time in life) over the New Year break and not expecting anything top-notch.

Hello, Thank you for leaving feedback for us. While you were here over New Year's you did experience some staff who were in training. Sorry about that. We all start somewhere, though. Additionally we are currently in the midst of a remodel. I hope you'll stay with us next time you visit your family for that 5 Star experience.

Great room

Nice suite with working fireplace. Good mattress. Older facility getting a bit tired. We arrived late so were stuck with a suite on the highway side. Might bother a light sleeper but we were fine. Friendly staff. Felt it was great value.

Needs a GOOD cleaning and repair

Pros: the breakfast was good
Cons: for the particular room we had ... tear it down and rebuild it
Location: lot of things nearby - the directions to get out of the place should have been simple but because of the area it was like running through a mouse maze
got this room for the added space ... the room looked like it had been through more wild drunken parties than a college dorm - there were several broken things throughout the room and the cleanliness was poor to say the least - and I don't know who the contractor was that built the place but I wouldn't hire them to build me a dog house - plus the road noise could almost wake a dead person

Beware!

Pros: The location and the front desk staff. The breakfast was decent, even if the worker was cranky. My bed was relatively comfortable. Parking was fine.
Cons: Almost everything needs to be improved. Repairs, updates and renovations are in dire need.
Location: The location was great, right off the highway and near every imaginable store and restaurant.
This hotel is very old, dirty and run down. They are apparently under new ownership and being renovated but that is no excuse for dirty and broken. We move 3 times and eventually were given the penthouse suit, which had dirty vents, ripped and dirty furniture, exposed light fixtures, electrical issues, broken drapery and stink bugs (NOT bed bugs though). Dust fell on my bed every time the heat came on! Only some outlets worked and at one time we had no working outlets and only cold water for showers. Bright side: The front desk staff was very nice and tried to be helpful. They never treated me with distain and I never blamed them for the state of the rooms. However, after 3 rooms, I can see it's the best they have at this time. I'd give this hotel a single star or half a star right now. I couldn't move hotels because the rate was non-refundable and I couldn't afford to just walk away. We had to make the best of it.

We did not stay!

The room stank like smoke, was very outdated, didn't give the feel of being clean at all. We sat in it for less than 30 min and no one felt they could even take out shoes off. We knew we couldn't sleep in that room.
