right on the beach

We only had a partial view room, but it was so close to actually being on the beach it was still great.

Just ok

Pros: The balcony to look out over the pool into the ocean
Cons: Front desk help
The front desk guy during the day was very sarcastic and on the rude side! I wanted to try and check in early but he made it out to be like it was out of the question but then called me an hour later to check in. I get that you can’t predict the future but he is doing customer service at a front desk so I would just assume he would have a better personality! Maybe some customer service classes so I don’t feel like I’m putting him out to do his job

on the beach

Pros: on ocean, hot tub, pool
Cons: nothing,
Location: we had plans both north and south, perfect location for our stay
the hotel was one of the few that sustained little damage from hurricane irma. the staff was helpful the room was cleaned everyday. the week we went was very windy and the first day we parked outside. the next morning we noticed water and sand on rental car. great!! for the underground parking. close to everything daytona. we will return next year

The underground parking is great when the weather is not cooperating. We also have a hose to wash the car off and a free commercial vacuum to help get rid of the sand in the underground garage. Great hotel

The hotel was great! Clean, friendly staff, fresh coffee in lobby at all times. The employees behind the check in were awesome esp Eddie. The entire stay was great.

Absolutely loved the view of the ocean from the room. Wonderful to be able to go downstairs and be right at the ocean.the staff was very pleasant and friendly.

Great ocean views

If you are looking for a quiet, inexpensive place on the beach with nice direct ocean views from your balcony, this is the place! Rooms are basic, although clean. Parking is easy and access in/out is easy.

Laid back hotel with easy access to the Beach

Very relaxing place to stay with easy beach access. Comfortable bed. The hotel staff for the most part were very friendly and even accommodated us for extra nights to stay when we arrived earlier than planned. Great housekeeping staff. Clean. Would stay here again!

Hurricane Damage?

Cons: Management needs to take unusable rooms out of rotation until they can be made fit for occupation.
Location: Beachfront - I did not linger long enough to discover what was nearby.
Good location, right on the beach. However of the two rooms I rented, one had an odd smell, and the other had an horrific stench. My room had an odor of ammonia and spoilage that could singe the hair from your nose. When I asked to be moved, there were no other rooms available. Since I did not check in until nearly midnight, I believe that to be true. The desk clerk offered to send someone up with an industrial-strength odor killing spray. I readily agreed, since it would be difficult to imagine anything making the problem worse. The young man they sent up stopped at the doorway and turned a bit green, then explained that the room had suffered some hurricane damage, and had been shut up ever since (this was 9/20/2017, Irma had passed on 9/10/2017). The orange spray helped - it completely overpowered the stench for almost 15 minutes. After that, the room smelled like a very drunken Orange Julius had whizzed all over the room, then stabled a herd of incontinent kitty cats in the wreckage for about a week. We were exhausted enough to finally drop off to sleep with our heads buried under the covers. Desk clerk the next morning said no-one else had complained about the room, but promised to check it out, and inform the manager. We left without looking back.

I am sorry for any inconvenience. I am at a loss because we had a professional company clean all of our carpets before any room was rented. We have also been running 100% occupancy and did not have that issue with any other guest that stayed in the same room. I am not saying that you may have over exaggerated the issue, I just did not have any complaints on that room for the week prior to your visit. Room Smells

Pros: The view of Daytona Beach.
Cons: Honesty!!!
We paid extra for an ocean view room, only to discover that the room smelled wet and moldy. The recent Hurricane Irma blasted rain into the room past the sliding doors and the carpets were still damp and smelled. This was confirmed the next morning when crews were stripping other rooms to install blower fans to dry these rooms. The hotel should have simply NOT rented these rooms at that time until they were properly cleaned.

Nice hotel, right on the beach!

The staff was super nice and very accommodating. I would definitely stay here again. Remember, this is a budget motel, so if your expectations aren't set too high you will enjoy the comforts it does provide.
