I like it here so much I’ve already extended my stay two nights. The hot tubs are incredible, the staff is very friendly and accommodating, can’t go wrong with free breakfast, and Deadwood is only 8 minute down the hill. I’m telling everyone about this place.

Had to switch rooms because the first had unclean bedding with hair and stains on the sheets.The walls were splattered with stains. Room smelled like it was super unclean as well. Second room was not the cleanest. All of the outlets didn’t work.. minus the one near the bathroom sink. The heat wouldn’t kick on unless you turned it over 85 degrees.. and the room was below freezing if you didn’t turn it on. The floor wasn’t swept in this room and there was green goo on the floor near the TV. So not mopped, either. Which was obvious. Wouldn’t recommend this place. You can find a better hotel/motel for the same price.

We always stay at the Blackstone because it is clean and reasonable, but our last visit was not good. We arrived at 3:30am after traveling 14 hours and had to wait for someone to check us in. Once we got to our room, the heat had been turned off so the room was freezing. We turned the heat on and thought it would warm up, but it never did. We had to continue our trip at 9 that morning so we didn't get much rest while we waited for the room to warm up, which never happened.

We apologize that we did not exceed the standard you have received during previous stays. seems like we failed to explain you that there is same electric switch which goes on different direction to turn on heat and cold at room. We love how Blackstone Lodge backs on to the forest. Sitting in the hot tub with a wall of rock to look at, and forest above, and stars above that was awesome.

Well they advertise shuttle service and that’s false, so when you check in they don’t even say anything until you come to front desk and ready to go downtown to eat and only transportation is call taxi that is $15 each way wasn’t happy. So ended up ordering. Not sure I will come back

This property is near Deadwood in city of Lead. It makes it easy to get away from the hustle and bustle of Deadwood. Bathroom area is small, especially where the sink is located, not much for counter space. King bed was comfortable. The advertised shuttle was not I service. According to taxi service, it will not be in service in near future.

I liked that it was animal friendly. I did not like that I paid extra for a room with a Jacuzzi tub that did not work. I did not like that when I brought it to the front desk she was quick to dismiss it as being possible. I did not like that I asked the employee in the bar what kind of beer they have and the response was ,"I don't know. I don't drink beer."

Other than finding someone’s chew tobacco pound on side of bed and having a room above the bar was not ideal!! Would stay again tho for convenience, great breakfast and great hot tubs.

This was our second time staying there. Great location, I like that they offer shuttle rides to and from Deadwood. The outdoor hot tubs are great. Staff is super friendly and accommodating, rooms are nice and clean. Will be back again, I would definitely recommend staying there.

I enjoy staying at this hotel because it is clean, nice place to stay, and has somewhat private hot tubs. I like the location; however my only complaint is that I wish they had a shuttle that operated earlier in the day. The shuttle to deadwood doesn’t start until 4 pm and runs until 1 am.

Great staff and comfortable room for the price the hot tubs and onsite dining and bar were nice. Unfortunately the ice is very dangerous in the back the building where the hot tubs and Parking are located. My husband hard a horrible fall on the property. Management was helpful and attended to the icy condition. Be safe everyone and enjoy this gem!

The property is inexpensive and the rooms are not bad though they are dark and somewhat tired. Biggest complaint was unruly guests partying in a common area until 3am and their shouting loud and drunken voices carried through all levels and hallways. I called the front desk and the guy pretended he didn’t know about it even though I could hear the loud group through his end of the phone. He said he would “advise them to be quieter”. Within 15 minutes they were running in the halls and shouting. They were also speculating where the complaint call might have come from. Fortunately I called from my mobile and gave the wrong room number so they only knew what floor it came from. Why would the desk person even give these people that info! I did not feel safe.

It was a good place. The room was clean and in good shape. The staff was very cordial and polite. The free shuttle to and from main street Deadwood was an awesome bonus. Would definitely stay again.

Great value.
Service was great, could have used fresh towels daily but we asked and got more. Bed were fine but always wish they were a bit softer like home. Breakfast was good and shuttle service to Deadwood a very nice option. Would stay here again.
