Really love this small hotel, the staff was welcoming and also accommodating. We stayed in room. #4 and would recommend a rod with shower curtain to enclose the beautiful tub.

perfect luxury hotelPosted Oct 1, 2012
Pros: luxury victorian period suite, wonderful, like staying in a museum, perfect for visiting deadwood.
Cons: I liked everything, but no iron in room
Location: perfect city centre location, close to everything
This hotel is definitely more than superb, the period furnished Mason suite really made our stay in Deadwood, and the experience was all the more authentic. Suite rooms were wonderful, grand and restoration of the building into this hotel has been done with great care and attention to the period and couldn't fault anything. Its not cheap accommodation, but consider staying here if possible. There's even free parking on site unlike many others in the area where you're expected to meter park on the street. (but you might have to ask if its not offered). It looked like all the rooms are nice, but the sanderson/mason suite 7/8 is perfect for a couple, like staying in a museum house. An iron + board in the room would be helpful. There's a cast iron one in the kitchen but no stove to sit it on !!!, Would recommed to everyone who wants a luxury short stay.
