High Style - Family Friend Price

Posted Mar 20, 2017
Pros: RePHRASE. What did we NOT like about the hotel? (we couldn't stay longer)
Cons: Maybe - add a dinner menu downstairs on the weekends, or a weekend parents bar night or something... but not necessary.
Location: Lots to do. Nearby USS TExas Battleship, family friendly park style beach, not too far from NASA, shopping, Kemah Boardwalk, and so much more.
The staff is outstanding at this hotel. The young man that put a rush job on our room to get us in, after having had the crapiest hotel next to NASA, did a great job. The front desk manager, Kristi, was a cut above the rest of the industry. She was personable, fun, outgoing, and really took care of us. (everyone there). The hotel, well - I would have paid $200 for this hotel. IT was that nice. Everything about this stay rocked. We actually did not (both teenage boys) leave the hotel all day on Saturday. We played chess till 1am Sunday morning... played in the pool, played pool, sat and read books and played on our electronics in the myriad of lounging spaces outside of our room. It's not often you find a hotel so nice, so price conscious and so staffed with excellence that your family decides to ditch the beach, ditch the battleship and ditch NASA part 2 for a "day in" the hotel, chillaxin.

The only thing is our tub was dirty. There was a lot of hair in the tub.

Senior staff has a real bad attitude

Posted Dec 26, 2016
Pros: Good area, good breakfasts. Cleaning service staff very considerate. Price reasonable.
Cons: See above. Senior staff needs training in hospitality.
Location: Location, Deer Park Texas, 1501 Center Street
Rusty towel rack, water drain in the bath room cracked, water leaks in the window, bath room needed fresh paint, mold by bathroom faucet. Elevator's lights were out. Laundry washing machine was out of service for 5 days. Side entrance door return broken.

My room had a bit of a stuffy moldy smell that I was too tiered to bring up as i had been driving several hours prior to check in. I chose this hotel because of the location. My family's was attending a funeral and this location was in the center of the church and cemetery. The hotel staff was great, i whish happy hour was extended a bit longer than 7pm, as I check in at 730pm. Also whish that the juice was not from concentratnone, gross. For $100 a night I hoped for a more comfort.
