Disappointing.

Posted Feb 29, 2016
The bathtub has some stuff/coating peeling off in several places, looking really tacky. The internet was too slow to of any use at all. The service people grudgingly agreed to 'upgrade' the internet, but that only made it worse. The location is good, the the hotel is truly sad for the price.

Pretty good location but needs upgrade

Posted Sep 18, 2015
Pros: Location, Staff (Polite but not really helpful)
Cons: Hotel needs renovation
Location: Location is good, many malls are nearby with nice restaurants, movie theaters and pubs. Very close to metro station and easy location to get a cab.
This hotel is pretty old, one of the oldest in Gurgaon and the room's condition does show that. Not talking about all the rooms in the hotel but in my room, there was dampness on the wall and everyday, wall paint was falling on my stuff, there was a wooden/plastic shutter in the bathroom and it was broken, no alarm clock/ipod dock in the room, wall plug etc. were broken. Also the hotel has weird policy that no visitor can come to see you after 6:00 PM, so if you've friends in town, plan to meet them outside the hotel otherwise you'll be embarrassed in front of your friend when the hotel staff will deny you from taking them to your room. Hotel staff are very polite, they will say "No" to most of the things you ask for, but they say very politely and they will sorry also because they are not able to help. Breakfast was good, served hot, couldn't try onsite restaurant as as I was mostly out during lunch and couldn't try dinner as I was meeting my friends outside hotel because of hotel's weird policy. Overall, I'll NOT recommend this hotel to anyone specially when there are so many alternatives. If you don't find any other newer hotels during your stay then its ok to stay there, hotel's location is pretty good and you've many malls at walking distance to spend your evening and try some local restaurants.

Typical mid range Indian hotel

Posted Aug 6, 2014
Showing its age in parts, but kind of charming. Staff are good. Restaurant has nice Indian food, but it is dark with loud Indian band, which is not great for tired business travellers. WiFi is OK if you ask for an AP in your room. I had a cold shower one morn. Laundry folded my shirts despite asking for hanging, so I went to work with creases.

Bad Hotel worth avoiding. Last Option Types.

Posted Dec 24, 2013
Pros: Absoultely nothing. If you i have to tell something, the food is cheap here.
Cons: A lot of things. For a start fire all the managerial staff and get new "padi likhi" ones..
Location: Its close to mg road station, mgf mall.
They don't even know the meaning of the word hospitality. All the hotel staff are so rude, they make you feel as if you are an unwelcome guest at their house. We are paying money for the service, we don't need to take this kind of arrogant behavior. And it had cost me the same amount as Leela Kempinsky. So to save a couple of bucks don't go here. Because if you stay for half a minute extra than your check out time, they charge you. They don't have a tie up with any local cab vendors ( which leela and vivanta all have ), I don't why. To go half a kilometer, they will charge you 1000Rs. One guest had come to see me at the hotel, they had rudely called me down to the reception and asked us all to display the ID card. This is not how you treat a guest especially at a hotel. If the guest is staying after 11pm , i can udnerstand there is an issue. But at 2.00pm, doing this is bad. They have their reception at the 4th floor and the rooms at the 2nd and 3rd floor. But that is not our problem. You can't all all the guest to come at the 4th floor and have an identification parade. The restaurant staff is also insulting. Heard him say, to a foreigner who didnot know english - Koi padi likhi nahi hai kya idhar ( is there any literate person here). It so bad.

Poor services and Decaying hotel.

Posted Nov 27, 2013
Pros: Nothing
There were two rooms booked on one reference number but the hotel staff were not aware of it and insisted that it was only for one room. Lots of argument along with the production of old mails resolved the matter. Awful experience.... Had free dinner offer with the room but it was not showing in the coffee shop. The staff misbehaved and detained the guest instead of confirming with the reception. Matter was resolved only after lots of arguments and repeated phone calls. The AC was not working properly. wash basins blocked ,extra beds came very late and so on....... Very bad experience.

Adequate but a bit dated hotel

Posted Nov 25, 2013
Pros: Generally good service overall with adequate accommodations.
Cons: Facilities are a bit dated, but my room was clean and well maintained. Some of the hallways had a bit of a musty smell, but the room was fine.
Location: Location close to several shopping areas. I understand the metro opened a week or so prior to my stay, and there is a station close to the hotel.
As others have noted, it can be a bit noisy depending on location, due to the nightclub in the hotel. For me, it wasn't unduly loud and I could sleep, but could see where a light sleeper might be unhappy about the noise. I also occasionally enjoy nightclubs, which might be why it didn't bother me. I did go one night, a weekend night, and it was crowded with mostly Indian men in their 20's and a smattering of Russian women. Not a club I'd recommend as a couple to visit, or one you'd have much luck at if you were single looking to meet local women. Ordered room service; food was fair, but as I ordered western food from an Indian restaurant, I didn't expect much more. I also obtained a car and driver through the hotel for a day trip to Agra to see the Taj Mahal. The driver was reliable and friendly, as was the tour guide he picked up in Agra, and both provided very good service. The price seemed a bit on the pricey side for India (14,000 rupees for the day) but I didn't have the opportunity to check out other options and they did give me the correct price up front without any hidden fees or add ons.
