Okay but too high for the money

Posted Aug 26, 2015
Pros: The main building where you go to check in is absolutely gorgeous! That is the photo you see on their website. However, the rooms are small & average.
Cons: The rooms could be better with a nicer TV, better beds and a nicer bathroom.
Because this was called a "Challet" we expected a bit more extravagance. The name is deceptive. It was a 5 out of 10 at best.

Not as it looks outside

Posted Aug 18, 2015
The lobby looks nice, but the rooms are old and like a motel. All the room are located far away and down a very steep hill. Consider the price it is not worthy.

Expedia overbooked, so we were bumped to another hotel. Our luggage was misplaced by the staff in the transition, and I had to make a couple of calls to locate it. We were given a $100 voucher for the inconvenience, but I would rather have not been bumped. The hotel we were bumped to was nice, though, and the staff was very apologetic and helpful.

OMG-- Need some updates!

Posted Aug 12, 2015
Pros: Proximity to Denali
Cons: Rooms need updating. Rooms need A/C and heating improvements
Basic comforts like window shades, air conditioning and enough towels for the party of 4 were no where to be found! The bus system was convenient once you figured it out, but not at all "common sense" worthy. It was disappointing after that long of a drive to pay huge for so little.

Denali stay

Posted Aug 10, 2015
Pros: Setting was beautiful. Lobby was close to other shopping (across the road).
Location: Denali National Park--enough said.
Great location (just off the highway). Our room was a long ways from the lobby and you had to take a shuttle to get to a parking lot. So convenience-wise, it could be improved, but then the feel of being in the woods would suffer. It probably is appropriate for a National Park hotel.

Excellent lodging at Denali

Posted Aug 8, 2015
Pros: Location by the river was beautiful and very peaceful. Had all the amenities to make our stay in Denali memorable.
Location: The Kantisha Wilderness tour and Jeep Excursion were great tours to see Alaska scenary (despite the rains and clouds).
Luxury hotel at a reasonable price through Expedia. Location by the river was beautiful. Our unit had a sitting/TV room separate from the bedroom which was very nice. Furnishings were good. Bed very comfy. Hotel staff were helpful with luggage as we were in a second floor unit and there was no elevator (bad knees). Courtesy shuttle buses operated frequently throughout the expansive property and to the parking lots (only loading/unloading parking allowed at unit). Had internet service only in the main hotel building (but that is not unusual in Alaska). Hotel was located near many tour offices and the staff at tour desk in main lobby were very helpful.

不错的酒店

在丹纳力公园的核心聚集区,交通方便,往来繁华,酒店设施非常完备,还有一个大的礼品商店,卖一些当地特色纪念品,是附近最大的酒店。各种玩儿都可在酒店预订,非常方便!

We needed a rollaway so one was ordered for us at check in. We called twice to check on the status of it. Finally, about 3 hours after our original request we were told that our room was on the second floor, so they couldn't deliver a rollaway to us. This should have been something the front desk staff knew at check-in.

Not for you unless you rode a cruise ship to AK

Expensive and subpar facility and service. My favorite part was the call to my room as my kids were trying to fall asleep explaining that the paved areas are not for guests to park but rather staff and to park in the gravel lot about a quarter mile from the building. Unfortunately, corporate didn't splurge for gravel this year so it was one big mud pit. Staff gets nice parking next to the building though so maybe it is a good place to work, but not to stay!
