Not the 5 star we were expecting

Pros: The beach club
Cons: Purchasing new towels would go along way. 5 star hotel towels arent meant to be tired and old.
Location: Location was great. Close to Danarau Port.
This hotel wasnt the 5 star we have expected. The interior is very tired. Towels were awfully old. Table was chipped. The door banged so much when it was open that you could hear it from the other side of the hotel. The beach club facilities were the only thing we were impressed with. If we didnt get the upgrade, we would have been very disappointed.

Staff and pool great was BUT rooms looking tired

Pros: Friendliness of staff and the pool
Cons: Staff members being more attentive, and perhaps improve on the quality of the food.
Location: Great location and walking distance to the port and the other hotels
we were so excited for our stay here, but we left feeling underwhelmed. Firstly I must say the staff were lovely and the kids had a great time in/by the pool. What left us underwhelmed? The room we had looked tired especially the bathroom where the bath tub was very much in need of a refresh. It looked very scratched and with stains in it. The Lagoon restaurant breakfast buffet was mediocre which was disappointing. For a 5 star hotel, it felt like we were staying in a lesser star hotel. I'm not a nit picky nor am I a fussy person. But it's just what we observed and please take this as constructive feedback. Service by restaurant staff (both at Salt and Lagoon) and housekeeping were a but hit and miss. e.g my kids shared a meal, when the food came we had ask for an extra plate and cutlery as they only brought cutlery for the number of mains ordered even though I mentioned that my children would be sharing a meal. To top it off my son was half way through his meal before the extra plate and cutlery arrived for my daughter. Another example being, my child brought sand into the hotel room one day, and we left the housekeeping sign on the door. We came back to room, beds was all made up but sand was still on the floor. It's the little things like these that brought the rating of this hotel down.

Excellent location, close to Port Denarau.

Pros: Location, friendly staff, lovely room and facilities as well as the general good vibe.
Check in was easy, staff were friendly and bags taken to our room promptly. Sitting by the bar and pool was lovely with great views and attentive service. We had dinner outside and enjoyed Fijian dancers and singing. Just stayed the one night as a stopover and would highly recommend it.

Ok hotel, needs renovating, small bathrooms

Rooms need renovating, bathrooms very small, staff were nice but not informed, food poising on last day so had to rearrange flights etc

Nice hotel with a good beach

Pros: Easy to get to from the airport and in my opinion the better of the hotels along the beach front on Denarau Island.
Cons: Hotel is getting older and rooms need a bit of a refresh but is still very clean and tidy.
Really enjoyed our stay. Hotel has all the facilities you need with an excellent pool and good restaurants to eat. Staff are very friendly and helpful - very lovely people and go out of their way to help you.

Adult beach club was where we spent most of our time. Lots of great staff (especially Jerry, Amelia, Sammy, Vili), but also a few grumpy ones, sadly. A few minor items went missing from our room, and we kept getting charged for minibar items we weren't using, but otherwise everything was great!

Great staff but lacked value for money!

We had a great stay, and the staff made it a lovely holiday! Very friendly and helpful with the kids. However, on the down side we think the food was overpriced and lacked value for money. Also, the sun loungers were dirty and old compared with some of the other hotels. The kids club staff were also a bit lack lustre and could have been a bit more fun for the kids. Overall it was a nice hotel though.

Had deteriorated from our last visit

Pros: Pools and beach activities
Cons: Rooms need renovating. Staff need better training and check in time needs to be reduced.
Location: Visit Singatoka, rafting etc
Room was too far from receiption and not what we had booked. Service requests very slow to action. Food inconsistent dependant on which resturant you ate at. Beach activities were great, as were pools. Breakfast great choice of foods. Drinks expensive. Overall very disappointing from our last stay.

Beautiful hotel facilities

This hotel was beautiful to look at, lovely pool to swim in, delicious French cafe. Staff were polite but lacking in the Bula spirit you see on the Coral Coast. Beachfront so beautiful view but water is brown and most people would not swim in there. Room small but sufficient. We would stay here again if we left the kids at home as it is handy to airport and great for adults but a bit hard with 2 small children in a little room.
