We didn’t get to stay in this property, so impossible to review , we were moved to another hotel in the group , because of low occupancy, however on our first night we were the only people in the new hotel everything shut bar restaurant and front door at 4pm , we were alone all night . , not happy , I also booked Palu Verde as an adults only , , the new hotel was not and didn’t want children around , if I did I wouldn’t have requested an adult only hotel , I called Expedia the next day and miraculously the bar stayed open , I have been offers a £110 voucher , not good enough , more people did arrive towards the weekend, including children !! The Hotel we were moved to was lovely and the staff when there were great but it was not what I booked . This will be taken further.

Booked a superior room. Was given a basic room. Woman checking me in said there were only two rooms left when I booked in. One room with a twin and one with a double. So clearly they over booked and put me in a basic room. She had difficulty with English so I didn’t bother going back to her after we were in the room. I talked to the man at the front desk the next morning and asked to be refunded the difference between the superior room and the basic. He refused. I showed him pics of the room on my phone and asked him to pull up their website. He finally admitted they looked different but then wouldn’t just refund the difference. I asked to speak with the manager. He called the manager and the manager refused to speak with me. Then he said write your complaint down on this paper or reviews all over the internet I don’t care. Check in was a mess and took forever. I just had to leave and go to lunch so we wouldn’t miss Spain lunch time and then finish checking in after lunch. This was part of my check in experience- When I checked in, I left my credit card at the desk for incidentals and went to use the bathroom. When I came back she was entering the credit card to charge for the room I had to explain to her I already paid on hotels.com I showed her the receipt and had to show her several times before she agreed not to charge me again. Fabulous stay!!!!
I thought the hotel was wonderful, very peaceful, loved no children, the staff were fabulous. The swimming pool was a salt water one which was fab Quite like a cooked breakfast which wasn’t available Over all it was a fabulous stay

fabulous !!!
We have spent a wonderful 3 nights at this lovely hotel. Absolutely idyllic, with such beautiful surroundings. The cleanliness of the room was superb as was the continental breakfast with a wonderful array of food & drink. It was nice to have a free garage space. My only slight downside of this hotel was the strength of the WiFi . If I hadn’t had 4G I would have been stuck. Well done Palauverd hotel 🏩

Staff very helpful. Breakfast served in bright clean dining room with lovely views out to pool area and shared patio. Only 5 mins walk to the beach, enjoyed an evening walk along the sea front.

Gone downhill since our last visit
When we stayed in 2014 we really enjoyed it. Newly decorated room, good facilities and nice pool. Not so good this time. Stayed in the same room and definitely worse for wear. Tired decor, body shower broken, rot at base of door frames, bed linen pillows and drapes nothing like as good. Pool waterfall feature broken now. Breakfast was good though!

A gem, tucked away from the main hustle of denia centre but still pleasantly walkable to anything you would need. This adult only hotel offers a quiet escape for anyone that needs it. Well appointed rooms and grounds with helpful and friendly staff.

Unexpected Gem.
This was a great hotel. The atmosphere was excellent - like staying at an old Spanish mansion. The courtyard was beautiful and at night all the candles were lit - elevating the atmosphere even higher. The courtyard is a great place to have drinks in the evening. So quiet and peaceful. The narrow road beside the hotel took you straight down to the beach. You could go walking either to the right or the left. If you choose to go left you will shortly reach the promenade which takes you all the way into town and the marina. Many locals and visitors spend the evening strolling and visiting along the promenade. The morning breakfast was included. It offered a wide variety of food and very good coffee. Delicious! The only regret was that we only booked a one night stay. This is definitely worth a longer stay. You can enjoy the coast without the crowds and annoyance of the large resorts.

I stayed at the Palau Verd Hotel in June 2015 whilst on a business trip to Javea. What a pleasant suprise. The hotel and staff were excellent. As a frequent traveller, I found the Palau Verd Hotel on a par with any hotel I have stayed in. (including 5 star) I actually asked the owners why the hotel was only rated at 3 stars and they explained the Spanish rating system (no shop etc) I have been so impressed with this hotel and its surroundings, I am back there for 10 days in June 2016 ! The Palau Verd Hotel has now become my yearly, heavenly retreat!

Great Little Hotel
We stayed at Palau Verd Hotel for 5 nights and I have to say it's better than some 5* hotels I have stayed in. The rooms were well clean and well appointed (we had a hydrotherapy bath in ours). The staff were very friendly and helpful. The Wellness Spa is private and can be booked by the hour. It's a couple of kms from Denia town centre but it's a beautiful walk along the coast so who's rushing?

Had such a lovely stay at this hotel, the staff, the decor, the breakfast were all perfect! Only down side for me was there was very little vegetarian option for lunch or dinner, so we went out instead, apart from that I have nothing to criticise about this hotel. Would definitely stay again

Good hotel near to the sea
The hotel had an excellent atmosphere and a family-run feel. All the staff we encountered were friendly and extremely helpful and couldn't do enough to make our stay more pleasant. The standard room was clean, modern and functional and the beds incredibly comfortable. The location near the sea front and restaurants is excellent. The hotel constitutes excellent value of money and we would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

Once the steep slope to the car park is negotiated the hotel is excellent and good value for money. The award winning evening meal of paella with noodles was great. Overall clean, traditional style hotel with helpful staff.

Palau Verde liked!
Very nice stay as a couple with friends for a couple of nights. Hotel restaurant was closed but local restaurants were very good value for money. Staff were pleasant and very helpful.

Our reservation was moved to another hotel in the same group, Hotel Les Rotes, for reasons which were not explained to us. Hotel Les Rotes is excellent. We did not get the patio or balcony which we had reserved at Palau Verd.

First time in Denia would stay at Palau Verd again
The Palau Verde Hotel sits in a beautiful setting, we had a very relaxing holiday. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are comfortable and cleanliness of the hotel is superb.Breakfast was extremely good so many choices The only thing we would criticise was .the evening meals, we had three during our holiday in the beautiful gardens.but the food did not match the ambience

Short Stay
We were recommended Palau Verd Hotel by a Spanish man whose wedding we were attending, because it is close to where his reception was being held. His parents also stayed there and were very impressed too. We only stayed for three nights but this was long enough to experience the place. You have your breakfast included in the room price and this is an extensive buffet (not egg and bacon style) of breads, cheeses, omelettes/eggs, meat, pastries, fruit and much more. Lunch and dinner is also served and you can eat el fresco or indoors. The property is a lovely old house and rooms which are separate to the main building. There's a swimming pool and spa which consists of a sauna, Jacuzzi and plunge pool (we didn't use this) which you book for an hour and have exclusive use.

Lovely Hotel, blocks from the beach
We had a great stay! The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was upgraded to a Superior room for free (since we'd requested 2 twin beds and there weren't any regular rooms with 2 twins left) and it had a really nice outdoor patio area with lounge chairs, table, and umbrella. The bathroom was great with a tub with jets. There is a smallish pool and a lovely outdoor area with lounge chairs, tables, and umbrellas. The hotel is a 5 min walk from a pretty secluded beach (rocks instead of sand, so probably not great for kids, but a lovely little inlet to swim in and great for lounging in the sun). We had a car so it was no trouble driving 5 mins to downtown Denia for dinner, and you could also go to the sandy, more popular beaches there as well. There were also several restaurants in walking distance from the hotel, with dinner also available right at the hotel. The included breakfast buffet was excellent--great variety, good food. We only stayed 1 night due to limited time in Spain, but would definitely return and stay here again!

Nice cosy hotel
Very nice surroundings with sitting areas under trees and plants. Very friendly personnel and excellent breakfast. Very pleasant stay. A bit far (if walking) from the town center but walking distance to the sea and beautiful promenade.
