Bad experience at Beyaz Kale
Posted Aug 16, 2015 on Hotels
We arrived at Beyaz Kale by taxi and before we took the taxi we agreed on a price with the taxi driver. When arrived at the hotel, the price was more than 3 times higher. The hotel owner participated in the conservation at a very unpleasant way and because of this we effentually decided to pay the high price. The room was basic and on the wall there was a large list of rules like ‘no drinks or food in the room’. After this we had dinner at the hotel, the son of the hotel owner took place at our table and kept talking about excursions organised by his friends. He did not understand that we had no interest in excursions at all, and that me and my wife would like to have a dinner together. We had a horrable night due to midgets in the room and people talking on the balconnies. We decided to leave the hotel after just 1 night, instead of staying for 6 nights. When we discussed this with the hotel owner and his son, they started arguing and we had to pay (you can only pay by cash) for all 6 nights. Eventually we payed for 2,5 nights and we were very relieved when we left the hotel. This was our first bad experience in a hotel after dosens of good hotel experiences all over the world. We had a very nice holiday in Turkey and enjoyed the Turkish hospitality and had 4 other good hotels.
